Men's Results | Women's Results
PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne men's and women's cross country teams finished 6-0 and 5-0 respectively at the 2011 Duquesne Duals held at Schenley Park on Saturday morning.
On the men's side, Jim Spisak finished in first place with a time of 25:20. Dukes' alumni Derek Dutille placed second with a time of 26:06 followed by Erik Anderson in third (26:11), Scott VanKooten in fourth (26:29), alumni Mike Stolar in fifth (26:30) and Jon McElwain in seventh (26:44).
Cam Stauffer (8th/26:53), Chuck Lockwood (13th/27:31), Evan Gomez (14th/27:31), Dave Vaccarello (15th/27:32), Dave Farina (18th/27:59), Alex Woodrow (19th/28:01), Brandon Krszal (31st/28:37), Mike Garver (49th/29:54), Matt Molitor (61st/30:57) and Jay Cadwallader (63rd/31:42) rounded out the Duquesne runners.
On the women's side, Meg Ecker and Amber Valimont placed second and third respectively with times of 18:35 and 18:30. Hailey Pisarcik placed fifth crossing in 19:01 and Danica Snyder was seventh with a time of 19:27.
Colleen Gilmore (16th/20:05), Bethany Walker (17th/20:12), Kendall Seymour (19th/20:25), Shelby Haitz (27th/20:48) and Laura Vehlies (37th/21:32) rounded out the Duquesne women runners.
Next up for both teams is another event at Schenley Park in a tri-meet against Bucknell and Pittsburgh. Start time is 9:30 a.m.
