Duquesne University freshman Simon Gomez (North York, Ontario/Don Mills Collegiate Institute) has been named the Atlantic 10 Men's Soccer Co-Rookie of the Week for the week ending Oct. 31.

Gomez picked up his third A-10 Rookie of the Week citation of the season after tallying five points off a goal and three assists in a perfect 2-0 week for Duquesne. He had the opening goal and assisted on the game-winner in the Dukes' 2-1 victory over Richmond on Oct. 29. On Oct. 31, Gomez assisted on two of the Dukes' three goals in a 3-0 blanking of visiting George Washington. He leads the team with 22 points on eight goals and six assists.

The Red and Blue (8-7-2, 4-4-0) wrap up the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 6 as they travel to St. Bonaventure for a 1:00 p.m. kick-off.
