The Duquesne University men's soccer team used two second half goals by freshman Joshua Patterson to defeat Pitt, 2-0 in exhibition action Wednesday evening on Rooney Field.

Junior Stefan Lundberg assisted on the first goal while senior Matthew Groves helped on the second. Goalkeepers Colin Thorp and Chris Torres each played a half to share the shutout.

Duquesne opens the 2009 campaign on Tuesday, Sept. 1 as the Dukes host Niagara at 7:00 pm on Rooney Field.
