BRONX, N.Y. - Samantha Pollino's double-double of 11 points and a career-high 12 rebounds led Duquesne to a 66-42 at victory Fordham Sunday afternoon. Keri Pryor led DU with 14 points while Amanda Peck and Kristi Little scored 12 points for the Dukes who improve to 11-9, 2-3 on the season.

Megan Mahoney led all scorers with 21 points for Fordham who drop to 0-20, 0-5 on the season.

Duquesne led from the 16:38 mark of the first half and never looked back as a pair of Peck foul shots gave the Dukes their largest lead of the first half, 12 points, right before halftime.

A foul shot by Little with 12:39 left in the game capped a 13-5 DU run and opened up the lead to 43-23. Fordham could not put together any type of a run and were dominated on the boards throughout the entire contest. Peck ended the game sinking her seventh and eighth foul shots to give the Dukes the 66-42 victory.

"Four players in double figures made me happy," said head coach Suzie McConnell-Serio. "Players stepped up today and hit shots when they needed to."

Duquesne out rebounded Fordham 53-33 and outscored the Rams' bench 20-2. Fifteen of the Dukes' points were second chance points and 20 were off turnovers.

Duquesne made only 23 of 65 tries from the floor, just over 35 percent. "It doesn't matter how we win. Our goal is to get better each game we play," added McConnell-Serio.

The Dukes will remain on the road as they travel Olean, N.Y. for a matchup against St. Bonaventure on Wednesday evening.
