Duquesne University senior midfielder Travis MacKenzie is among 29 players on the 2007 Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy Watch List. The Hermann Trophy is the official National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Player of the Year Award for NCAA Division I competition. The 29 candidates were selected by a nominating committee of Division I college coaches.

MacKenzie, an NSCAA All-Region choice in 2005 and 2006, was named to the Atlantic 10 Pre-Season All-Conference team for the second straight year this season. He led the Dukes last year with 20 points on six goals and eight assists.

The list will be trimmed to 15 finalists in early November. Three finalists will then be named in early December in conjunction with the NCAA Men's College Cup and will be invited to the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis on Friday, Jan. 11, 2008. The winner of the 2007 award will be announced during a nationally-televised news conference that evening.

The Dukes report to camp on Thursday, Aug. 15 and open the season on Friday, Aug. 31 at Robert Morris.
