Amherst, MA - Massachusetts' Pam Rosanio's back-to-back three-pointers broke a 40-40 second half tie and was part of a 20-6 run that helper the Minutewomen to a 70-57 victory over Duquesne (7-17, 2-9) Friday night.
The loss extended the Duquesne losing streak to eight games.
UMass' Tamara Tatham led the game with 19 points on 8-10 shooting. UM's Kate Mills had a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds. Carmen Bruce and Loui Hall led the Red & Blue with 18 points and six rebounds each.
The Minutewomen trailed 36-30 at halftime had some hot shooting in the second half, hitting 16-29 (55.2 percent). The Dukes connected on only 9-26 in the second frame after shooting 53.6 percent (15-28) in the opening half.
The Dukes' next game is Sunday at St. Bonaventure at 1:00 pm.
