Duquesne University senior cross country runner Tom Slosky (Brackenridge, Pa./Highlands) has been named the Atlantic 10 Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week for the week ending Oct. 14. It is his second POW award this season.

Slosky finished first for the Dukes and 53rd overall of 261-runners in Saturday's highly competitive NCAA Pre-Nationals at Indiana State. Slosky turned in a Duquesne season-best time of 24:11 in the 8K race. The Red and Blue finished 28th in the 38-team field, which featured 13 nationally-ranked teams, including four top 10 teams.

The Red and Blue will take next weekend off in preparation for the Atlantic 10 Championship to be held Oct. 27 in Philadelphia.
