Junior Tom Slosky (Brackenridge, Pa./Highlands) crossed second out of 97 runners with a time of 25:37 at this morning's Duquesne Duals as the Dukes finished second overall with a mark a 6-1 overall record. Not far behind was senior Chris Horvat (Cleveland, Ohio/Gilmour Academy) who took third in 25:43. Other top 10 finishes came from sophomore Josh Eddy (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) at eighth (26:26) and sophomore Derek Dutille (Lebanon, N.H./Lebanon) in ninth (26:37). Duquesne's only loss was to cross-town rival Pitt and it placed 10 runners in the top 20 list.

The Duals felt the effects of Tropical Storm Ernesto with a rain-soaked sloppy 8K course with temperatures in the high 50's.

The Dukes return to action Friday, September 15, at the National Catholic Championships at Notre Dame.
