Fresh off its third straight Atlantic 10 Tournament appearance, Duquesne University head soccer coach Wade Jean has announced his roster additions for the 2005 season. Joining the Dukes in the fall will be Evan Browne (Jefferson Hills, PA/Thomas Jefferson), Kevin Foglesong (Lexington, OH/Lexington), Drew Jeffery (North East, PA/Cathedral Prep) and John Strosser (Erie, PA/McDowell).

A three-sport athlete, Browne was a 2004 Regional All-American and Section Player of the Year in soccer. In addition, he was a two-time All-State, All-WPIAL and All-Section honoree as well as a two-time Post-Gazette and Tribune-Review Elite 11 selection. Browne, a four-year letterman and two-year team captain led both the soccer team and football team in scoring as a senior.

Foglesong was an NCOSSCA First Team selection as a senior after being a NCOSSCA Honorable Mention choice as a junior. A three-year letterman, he was also a two-time Ohio Cardinal Conference First Team honoree and the Defensive MVP of his All-Star game as a senior. Foglesong's team was 9-2-1 in 2004 with a 7-0-0 league record and was OCC and section champs.

Jeffery was a 2004 team captain for his Region 6 and District 10 championship team. He was also named the Most Valuable Player for his 2003 squad which was Metro-League champions. In his addition, Jeffery's teams were District 10 champions in 2002 and AAA State champions in 2001.

Strosser was an All-State, All-Region and All-Metro choice as well as the Region Player of the Year in 2004. A four-year letterman he was a two-time Second Team All-Metro selection and a member of the Times News Dream Team. His team won the 2003 district championship and was runners-up twice.

The Dukes open the 2005 season on Saturday, Sept. 3 as they face St. Bonaventure.
