Duquesne University's men's cross country team is ranked ninth in the Middle Atlantic region by the United States Cross Country Coaches Assocation. The Dukes, who were ranked 13th in the pre-season poll, have climbed in the rankings each week before cracking the top 10 this week following a strong performance at the Penn State National Open.

Coach Jim Lear's Dukes are led by senior Ryan Bender who has finished first for DU in 19 of his past 21 races. Also contributing to the team's success are fellow seniors Pat McGuire and Steve Moyer, junior Kevin Borrelli and sophomore Chris Horvat.

The Red and Blue return to action on Saturday, Oct. 30 as they host the Atlantic 10 Championship at 10:00 am Schenley Park.
