Duquesne University freshman goalkeeper Zach Varga (Mountville, PA/Hempfield) has been named the Atlantic 10 Men's Soccer Co-Rookie of the Week for the week ending September 21. It is the second such honor for him this season.

Varga went 1-0-1 over the weekend, allowing just one goal and posting his third shutout of the year. The A-10 Pre-Season All-Rookie Team selection made six saves as the Dukes tied Robert Morris, 1-1 on Friday and won 1-0 at Ohio State on Sunday.

The Red and Blue are ranked sixth in the NSCAA's Middle Atlantic Region rankings and host Canisius on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 2:00 pm on Rooney Field.
