Duquesne University senior goalkeeper Terry McNelis (Reading, PA/Exeter Twp.) has been granted a free-agent tryout with D.C. United of Major League Soccer. McNelis will tryout today and tomorrow for the three-time MLS champions from Washington, DC.

McNelis is the Duquesne record-holder in three of the five single-season goalkeeping categories as well as all five career standards. During his senior campaign he finished second in the conference in shutouts with five and second in goals against average at 1.19 in leading Duquesne to the Atlantic 10 championship game.

McNelis is a four-time Atlantic 10 All-Conference selection as well as a three-time A-10 Academic All-Conference honoree and Verizon Academic All-American.
