Duquesne University men's soccer senior Jason Kutney (Freehold, NJ/Freehold Borough) was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District II Team as voted on by the district's sports information directors. It is the second year in a row he has been selected.

Kutney, who was also a Second Team National Academic All-American last year, boasts a 3.95 grade point average as an investment management major. A team captain, he has a career-best six points this season on a goal and four assists.

The Dukes have clinched a berth in the Atlantic 10 Championship and travel to St. Bonaventure on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 1:00 pm for their regular season finale.

To be eligible, an athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.20 on a scale of 4.00. He must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at the institution and must have completed at least one full academic year at the institution. Sports information directors nominate eligible athletes from their schools who are named to district teams prior to being voted upon on the national level. CoSIDA has been selecting Academic All-America teams since 1952.

CoSIDA's District II covers Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
