Dukes Lose To Davidson, 70-59

San Francisco, Calif. - Duquesne University's women's basketball team lost the consolation game of the University of San Francisco odwalla Classic to Davidson, 70-69, Saturday night at the USF War Memorial Gym.

The Dukes (2-3) had a 31-29 halftime lead but were unable to hold back the Wildcats' second half surge. Senior Candace Futrell and sophomore Omega Harrington led the Red and Blue with 10 points each. Sophomores Nicole Sinclair and Maria Stankevich pulled down a game-best 11 and 10 rebounds, respectively. Senior Shiri Sharon handed out four assists.

Davidson's Ashley Hallsted led four double-figure scoring Wildcats (2-3) with a game-high 17 points.

The Dukes return home for their next matchup on Wednesday, December 3 against the Pitt Panthers (1-1) at 7:00 p.m. at the Petersen Events Center.
