Junior Ryan Bender capped a successful 2003 cross-country season with a fifth place finish at the IC4A Cross Country Championships held at Van Cortlandt Park on Saturday. Bender completed the five-mile 141-runner race in 25.23.
Bender, the Atlantic 10 Men's Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Year, finished second overall with a time of 25:12.6 and was named to the All-Conference Team for the second season in a row.
