Three Duquesne University men's soccer players will play their final home games in a Dukes uniform this weekend as Dan Hartung, Jason Kutney and Damien Pottinger lead the Red and Blue against UMass on Friday at 7:30 pm and Rhode Island at 1:00 pm on Sunday. The trio has helped the Dukes achieve a 9-2-2 record this season as well as an appearance in the NSCAA/adidas Top 25 Rankings.
Hartung has been an iron man for the Dukes, playing in all 69 possible games for the Red and Blue while starting 67 of them. He is fourth all-time at DU with 38 career points and is fifth in career goals with 12.
Kutney has played tenacious defense over his four-year career and has started 59 of the 64 games he has played in. He has a career-high six points this season on one goal and a personal-best four assists.
Pottinger will end his Duquesne career as the University's all-time leading scorer. He has re-written the offensive portion of the records book by being Duquesne's all-time leader in career goals with 34, points with 78 and shots with 191.
Following this weekend's action, the Dukes will travel to Dayton, Xavier and St. Bonaventure with the hopes of qualifying for their second straight Atlantic 10 Championship berth.
