Duquesne University freshman cross country runner Chris Horvat (Cleveland, OH/Gilmour Academy) was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for the week ending Oct. 19. Horvat receives the award following his sixth place showing of 88 runners at the Duquesne Invitational on Friday, Oct. 17.

Horvat ran the five-mile course in 26:07, leading the Dukes to a second place showing out of eight teams. He has been Duquesne's top rookie finisher in three of five races this year and has finished third for the Dukes twice.

The Dukes return to action on Saturday, Nov. 1 as they travel to Philadelphia for the Atlantic 10 Championship.
