Duquesne University's men's soccer has recently been presented the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award for the 2001-02 season. The Dukes were one of 67 men's soccer teams nationally recognized by the NSCAA, marking the fifth straight year Duquesne received this honor.

The awards, which are released the following season, honor teams that post a minimum grade point average of 3.00 (based on a 4.00 scale) for the entire academic year. Last season, the Dukes posted a team grade point average of 3.10 which was 43rd overall and 14th among division I programs.
