Duquesne University sophomore Ryan Bender (Indiana, PA / Indiana) and senior Dave Eldridge (Black Lick, PA/Blairsville) have been named to the Atlantic 10 Men's Cross Country Academic All-Conference Team as announced today by the conference office. Bender was the only sophomore named to the six-man team.

Bender, who has a 3.97 grade point average in pharmacy, was recently named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference team for his 10th place finish at the Atlantic 10 Championship on Nov. 2. It is his second All-Conference selection in as many years. He finished first for Duquesne in five of six races this season while placing second in the other. He also finished 31st of 254 runners at the NCAA Pre-Nationals and won the 96-runner Duquesne Invitational.
Eldridge finished second for Duquesne and 12th overall at the Atlantic 10 Championship and first for Duquesne and 30th of 254 runners at the NCAA Pre-Nationals. A 3.54 student in technology marketing, he has been among Duquesne's top five runners in all five of his races and also finished second overall at the 96-runner Duquesne Invitational.
The Dukes return to action on Saturday, Nov. 16 as they travel to Bucknell for the NCAA Mid-East Regional.
