Duquesne sophomore Ryan Bender (Indiana, PA / Indiana) was named the Atlantic 10 Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week for the second straight week as announced by the conference office.

Bender placed eight of 108 runners at the Bucknell Invitational on Saturday with a time of 25:29 as the Dukes finished fourth of eight teams. Bender has paced the Dukes in all four competitions this year.

This is the third conference citation of Bender's short collegiate career. He was named A-10 Rookie of the Week last October for his performance in Lehigh's Paul Short Invitational as well as the honors the past two weeks.

The Dukes return to action on Saturday, Oct. 19 when they participate in the NCAA Pre-Nationals at Indiana State.
