Pittsburgh, Pa. – Duquesne University head men's soccer coach
Chase Brooks announced the 2026 roster for the Dukes Tuesday, which includes 19 returners and 10 newcomers as part of the program's latest recruiting class.
WELCOME BACK
Duquesne returns six starters from last season, a year that saw the Dukes post an overall record of 8-6-2 (.562), including a 2-6 (.250) mark in the Atlantic 10. Included among the six returning starters are four of the top five scorers from 2025, including leading scorer
Jaxon Ervin. A two-time member of the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team (2024, 2025), Ervin started all 16 games for the Dukes last year and finished with five goals and a pair of assists for a team-high 12 points. Entering his final season with the program, Ervin is the active leading scorer for Duquesne with 24 points thanks to eight goals and eight assists. Also returning as starters for the Dukes in 2026 are midfielders
Miles Imparato and
Pepo Bravo and defenders
Ashwin Menon,
Luke Fiscus and
Alex Posada.

QUOTABLE
"We have a solid and committed group of guys joining us this fall, and as a coaching staff we're thrilled they have chosen Duquesne to continue their personal and professional development," Brooks said. "This is a group that can make an impact and will help us to achieve our program goals for years to come. It's exciting to have them join a roster that brings back leadership and versatility, and we're excited to watch our team come together this fall."
IRON MEN
In addition to Ervin starting all 16 games for Duquesne last year, Menon and Posada were each members of the starting 11 for the Dukes in every game last year. Menon has started 33 consecutive games dating back to the beginning of the 2024 season, the longest active streak by a student-athlete at Duquesne, and owns seven career points courtesy of two goals and three assists. Posada, who garnered a spot on the 2025 Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team, led Duquesne in minutes played (1,414) last year and posted a goal on his only shot on net during the year.
BALANCE
While Ervin returns as the top scorer from a year ago for Duquesne, there are plenty of options on the attack. Badler tied for second for the Dukes last year in goals (4) and finished third in points (8), while Imparato scored seven points thanks to two goals and three assists. Menon finished fifth on the team with six points, while
Hákon Dagur Matthíasson was a key contributor for Duquesne in his rookie campaign, scoring a pair of goals and notching an assist for five points. Included among his strikes was the lone goal in a 1-0 victory at Syracuse that helped him earn Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week. Bravo, meanwhile, produced a team-high four assists in 2025.
CAMP SEASON
Duquesne returns to campus Monday, August 3, and will begin preparation for the 2026 season with its first practice Tuesday, August 4. The Dukes open the year with a three-game homestand at Rooney Field, with the season opener slated for 3:00 p.m. Thursday, August 20, against Lafayette. Duquesne will also host Bowling Green (August 23) and Mount St. Mary's (August 27) during the homestand. The Dukes enter the 2026 season having posted five consecutive winning seasons. Brooks is the program's all-time leader in coaching victories with a record of 96-93-29 (.507) in 13 years on the Bluff.
