Loretto / Meadville, Pa. – The Duquesne University track and field teams totaled 12 first-place finishes across a split-squad weekend, competing at the Red Flash Open, hosted by Saint Francis, and the Marty Goldberg Gator Invite at Allegheny.

SAINT FRANCIS WINNERS
Duquesne swept the 400 meters and 1500 meters.
Landon Lacey won the men's 400 meters in 49.87, while
Cydney Blahovec took the women's race in a personal-best 1:00.01.
Ben Shields won the men's 1500 meters in 4:03.46 in his collegiate debut at the distance, and
Gianna Mosca captured the women's race in 5:04.77.
Isaac Wetzel finished first in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 55.55.
Kendall Lucas took first in the 2000-meter steeplechase, crossing in 7:53.2.
Anthony Ciecierski won the 3000 meters in 8:57.55.
Freshman
Kyndra Seddon paced the discus field with a throw of 40.76 meters (133-8).
The mixed 4x400-meter relay closed out the meet with a win in 3:43.01.

ALLEGHENY WINNERS
Rose Kuchera won two events, taking first in the long jump (5.72m / 18-9.25) and triple jump (12.30m / 40-4.25). She also added a runner-up finish in the 100-meter hurdles (14.46).
Mia Pierce claimed the top spot in discus with a throw of 47.91 meters (157-2).

- Jadon Rahman (50.52), Sam de la Riva (50.69) and Maxwell Hamilton (51.11) joined Lacey in the top five of the 400 meters, placing second, third and fifth, respectively.
- Belal Abdelrahman was second in the 400-meter hurdles (57.86).
- Jack Pritchard (1:56.18) and Jack Barnhisel (1:56.46) finished second and third in the 800 meters.
- Following Shields' win in the 1500 meters, Sam Freedman (4:05.04), Liam Kirkpatrick (4:13.41), Ben Colli (4:19.43) and Kyle Kochanski (4:31.98) placed second, third, fourth and sixth.
- Jacob Bonnar claimed second in the 3000 meters (9:03.41), while Cleveland Wall was runner-up in the 3000-meter steeplechase (10:43.9).
- Christian Cupp led four Dukes in the top 10 of the discus with a third-place throw of 39.42 meters (129-4). Conor Richardson (37.80m) and Cody Mankowski (37.16m – personal best) followed in sixth and seventh, while Nick Carelli placed 10th (32.22m).
- Ya'zhi Slaughter took third in the long jump (6.40m / 21-0).
- Colm Matheney marked 12.19m / 40-0 in seventh of the shot put.
- At Allegheny:
- Dino Nadarevic recorded a season-best 50.64 meters (166-2) in the discus to finish second, improving his No. 2 mark on the Duquesne all-time list.
- Nick Payne placed seventh in the hammer throw (47.43m / 155-7).
UP NEXT
Duquesne will compete at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships next Saturday and Sunday (May 2–3) at George Mason.
