NOTHING BUT NYLON
- The Duquesne women's basketball team is coming off a bye week as it travels to Olean, N.Y., when it looks to even the seasons series at St. Bonaventure on Saturday, Feb. 7 inside the Reilly Center, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

- La Salle shot just under 50.0 percent (14-of-29) from the field and 53.3 percent (8-of-15) from behind the arc in the second half, to earn a 77-61 victory over the Dukes on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 31), inside the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.

- Duquesne trailed 25-21 at halftime before opening the second half with an 8-5 run to cut the deficit to 30-29 after sophomore Mackenzie Blackford drilled a three-pointer with 7:42 remaining.

The Series vs. St. Bonaventure – One of the longest tenured series, the Dukes and Bonnies will square off for the 73rd time on Saturday afternoon. Duquesne holds a 50-22 record in the all-time series but St. Bonaventure snapped an eight-game skid in the series, earning a 46-38 victory earlier this season. A jumper from junior guard Reina Green extended Duquesne's lead to 24-15, but St. Bonaventure responded with an 11-5 run to pull within 29-26, shooting 5-of-8 from the field during the stretch. Bordas briefly halted the momentum with a pull-up jumper to restore a six-point cushion with 2:12 remaining in the quarter. Brillana Boyd answered with a three-pointer, and after both teams were held scoreless over the final two minutes, Laycee Drake drilled a buzzer-beating triple to tie the game at 32-all heading into the final 10 minutes. The teams traded baskets to open the fourth quarter before Aaliya Parker went 1-of-2 from the free-throw line to give the Bonnies a one-point edge. A two-and-a-half-minute scoring drought followed, before Pettinelli knocked down a right-wing three to push St. Bonaventure's lead to four. Parker then converted a pair at the line to extend the advantage to 40-34 with 2:18 remaining. Duquesne attempted to mount a late push with baskets from Moore and Ford, but St. Bonaventure sealed the game by going 4-of-4 at the chalk over the final 51 seconds.

Scouting The Bonnies – St. Bonaventure snapped a five-game skid and enters Saturday with a 13–11 overall record and a 4–8 mark in conference play. The Bonnies are coming off a 59-50 victory over Davidson on Wednesday night (Feb. 4). St. Bonaventure features two players averaging double figures, led by Laycee Drake. Drake ranks eighth in the conference at 15.2 points per game and sits fifth in field-goal percentage at 46.0 percent. She has recorded 19 double-figure scoring performances this season, including seven of her last eight games. Aaliyah Parker is second on the team at just over 12.0 points per contest, while also averaging 5.8 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game. St. Bonaventure is led by veteran head coach Jim Crowley, the 16th-longest tenured active coach in Division I women's basketball. Crowley has amassed 405 career wins, ranking him among the top 50 all-time in the sport. In his second stint with the Bonnies, he has collected 281 victories over 19 seasons in Olean.

The Prodigy - Freshman guard Alexis Bordas has arguably emerged as the Dukes' most consistent scoring threat this season. She has reached double figures 18 times, including in 11 of her last 13 games, during which she has averaged 15.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and 1.4 assists per contest. Bordas is shooting 35.1 percent (66-of-188) from the field, 34.5 percent (41-of-119) from three-point range, and an impressive 84.6 percent (33-of-39) at the charity stripe. The West Virginia native is coming off her sixth 20-point performance of the season after pouring in 22 points against La Salle, knocking down five three-pointers to go along with three rebounds and two steals. It marked the 11th time she has led the Dukes in scoring and the 12th game in which she has connected on three or more triples. On the season, Bordas ranks ninth in the conference in scoring at 15.2 points per game, while her 1.8 steals per game and 40 total steals both lead the team. She has recorded at least one steal in 19 games, including 14 contests with two or more.

Shifting Gears – In recent weeks, sophomore guard Mackenzie Blackford has found her rhythm and continues to be a reliable threat from beyond the arc. She is coming off her seventh double-figure scoring performance of the season after finishing with 16 points against La Salle, shooting an efficient 54.5 percent (6-of-11) from the field and 57.1 percent (4-of-7) from three-point range. Over her last five games, Blackford is averaging 10.4 points, 1.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 53.8 percent (14-of-26) from deep and 51.4 percent (19-of-37) overall. The Ohio native has connected on two or more three-pointers in five straight games, highlighted by her 4-of-7 effort from long range against the Explorers. On the season, Blackford has recorded five games with three or more triples and now owns 18 such performances in her career. She currently sits second on the team with 9.0 points per game while collecting just under three rebounds and 1.5 steals.

Built Ford Tough – One of the top rebounders in the country, sophomore forward Harriet Ford continues to make a major impact on the glass. She ranks fourth in the Atlantic 10 at 7.8 rebounds per game while leading the conference and ranking 25th nationally with just under four offensive boards per contest. Ford is coming off her fifth double-double of the season after recording 10 points and 10 rebounds against La Salle. The performance marked the ninth double-double of her career and the 12th time this season she has led the Dukes in rebounding. She has pulled down 10 or more rebounds in eight games this year and has scored in double figures eight times. On the season, Ford is averaging 7.7 points per game, the third-best on the team, while shooting 46.3 percent (62-of-134) from the field. The Australian native has been especially efficient of late, shooting 50.0 percent (14-of-28) over her last five games while averaging 5.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per contest. She has also collected 10 offensive caroms during that stretch.

That's So Raevin – Freshman forward Raevin Washington continues to be a rim protector for the Dukes in her first season on the Bluff. She notched her third double-figure scoring outing of the season, leading the team with 12 points on a perfect 6-of-6 effort from the field at Richmond (Jan. 28). Washington added three rebounds and swatted away a pair of shots. On the season, the Virginia native ranks fourth in the Atlantic 10 with 33 total blocks, while her 1.5 blocks per game also sit fourth in the conference. She has recorded at least one rejection in 16 contests, including three games with four or more blocks. Earlier this year, Washington posted a season-high five blocks and seven rebounds in a win over Kent State (Nov. 24), then followed with four blocks, eight points, and eight rebounds against Liberty (Nov. 29). For the season, Washington is averaging just under 5.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game while shooting 46.7 percent (44-of-94) from the field.

Did You Know? - The Dukes enter Saturday's contest having made at least one three-pointer in 449 consecutive games, a streak spanning 15 years. The last time Duquesne failed to connect from beyond the arc was on December 21, 2011, when the Dukes went 0-for-19 from long range against Florida in the championship game of the Gator Holiday Classic. Just last season, the NCAA Division I women's record for consecutive games with a made three-pointer was broken. Iowa State had previously held the mark with an astounding 945-game streak dating back to February 19, 1995, when the Cyclones competed in the Big Eight Conference. The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga now owns the longest active streak in Division I women's basketball, with 827 straight games featuring a made three-pointer.
