The Series vs. Saint Louis – It'll be the 25th meeting between the Dukes and Billikens come Wednesday night as Duquesne holds a 16-8 mark in the all-timer series. The Dukes have won four of the last five meetings but Saint Louis took a 72-62 win earlier this season in Pittsburgh. Trailing by as many as 13 points with 9:46 remaining in the fourth quarter, Duquesne pieced together a 10-2 run to pull within 55-50 at the 5:25 mark. Sophomore Kellie McConnell ignited the surge with a floater, followed by a layup from fellow sophomore Nadia Moore and a driving finish from freshman Alexis Bordas. After Saint Louis knocked down a pair of free throws, junior Reina Green kept the momentum going with a jumper, and sophomore Faith Walker capped the spurt with a turnaround jump shot. Later in the quarter, the Dukes again closed the gap, trailing 61-54 before Bordas buried a right-wing three to cut the deficit to four with two minutes remaining in regulation. That would be as close as Duquesne would get, however, as the Billikens closed the game on an 11-5 run to secure the victory. Despite shooting just 1-of-6 (16.7 percent) from the field in the fourth quarter, Saint Louis proved decisive at the foul line, converting 19-of-24 free throws (79.2 percent) in the final period. The Billikens finished the game 24-of-29 (82.8 percent) from the charity stripe.

Scouting The Billikens – Saint Louis enters Wednesday's matchup with an 11-18 overall record and a 5-11 mark in conference play. Saint Louis features four players averaging double figures, led by Zya Nugent, who posts 12.7 points per game while adding 7.0 rebounds and 1.8 steals per contest, shooting over 30 percent from the field. Alexia Nelson and Jahda Denis each contribute more than 11.5 points per game. Nelson also leads the team with 3.0 assists and chips in 3.5 rebounds per outing, while Denis averages 2.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.8 steals per game. Alyssa Koerkenmeier rounds out the group, averaging 11.3 points and a conference-best 9.4 rebounds per game in the Atlantic 10 Conference. VCU Remains – Duquesne evened the season series with VCU with the victory while earning its second victory in the last five meetings agains the Rams. Despite a sluggish start to the second half, Duquesne continued to move the ball effectively, finishing with 16 assists on 26 made baskets. Both teams combined to shoot just 3-of-14 to open the third quarter before the Dukes responded with 12 straight points to build their largest lead of the afternoon, 51-34, with 2:05 remaining in the period. Bordas ignited the run with a three-pointer, followed by a layup from Washington. Sophomore Mackenzie Blackford added a triple and a layup of her own, and junior Reina Green capped the spurt with a jumper as Duquesne went a perfect 5-of-5 during the stretch. The Rams closed the quarter by scoring eight of the final 10 points, trimming the margin to 53–42 heading into the fourth. In the final frame, Duquesne maintained control, using an 8-0 burst to extend its lead to 64-48. Blackford opened the run with a layup before Bordas buried back-to-back three-pointers to keep the Dukes comfortably in front.

Southpaw Sniper – The top-scoring freshman in the Atlantic 10, rookie sensation Alexis Bordas has quickly established herself as one of the league's most dynamic offensive threats in her first season on the Bluff. She is coming off her eighth 20-point performance of the year, erupting for 27 points on an efficient 8-of-13 shooting (61.5%) from the field. Bordas was especially lethal from beyond the arc, knocking down 7-of-9 attempts (77.8%), while remaining perfect at the free-throw line (4-of-4). She added four rebounds and four assists in the victory. The outing marked the 13th time this season she has led the Dukes in scoring and her 22nd game finishing in double figures. The West Virginia native currently ranks fourth in the Atlantic 10 and leads all freshmen in scoring, averaging 15.7 points per game. She also contributes 3.3 rebounds, 1.6 steals, and just under two assists per contest. Over her last six games, Bordas has elevated her play even further, averaging 18.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 steal per game. During that stretch, she has connected on 40.7 percent (24-of-59) of her three-point attempts and shot 37.9 percent (36-of-95) from the field overall. She has recorded three 20-point performances in that span and has been nearly automatic at the charity stripe, converting 15-of-16 attempts (93.8%).

All Things Green – Ever since being reinserted into the starting lineup, junior guard Reina Green has made a strong impact on both ends of the floor. She is coming off her ninth double-figure scoring performance of the season, narrowly missing a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds, including five on the offensive glass. Her ability to create second-chance opportunities has provided a consistent spark for the Dukes. Over her past six games, the Florida native has averaged 8.2 points and a team-best 7.0 rebounds per contest while adding five steals. During that stretch, she has pulled down 13 offensive rebounds and recorded two games with four or more on the offensive boards. Earlier this month, Green recorded her first career double-double in a victory over Loyola Chicago (Feb. 11), finishing with a career-high 13 rebounds to pair with 11 points. On the season, she has tallied nine double-digit scoring performances and has led Duquesne in rebounding four times. Green also owns the third-longest active games-played streak on the team at 30 consecutive appearances.

Splash Sisters – Duquesne boasts two of the Atlantic 10's premier three-point shooters in Alexis Bordas and Mackenzie Blackford, giving the Dukes one of the most dangerous perimeter tandems in the conference. Bordas leads the A-10 and ranks fourth nationally with 3.15 three-pointers per game, while her 85 total triples are second in the league and fifth in NCAA Division I. She currently sits fifth in program history for single-season three-pointers and is just seven shy of the school record of 92, set by Chassidy Omogrosso in 2018. Blackford, meanwhile, ranks fourth in the conference with 2.52 triples per game and 68 made three-pointers. She is just two away from cracking the program's top 10 single-season list for the second straight year after knocking down 70 as a freshman. The Ohio native has recorded four games with five or more three-pointers and has posted nine outings with at least three makes this season. Together, the duo has combined to shoot 153-of-424 (36.1 percent) from beyond the arc, accounting for 153 of the team's 196 made three-pointers this season, a remarkable 78 percent of
Duquesne's production from long range.
