- The Duquesne women's basketball team closes out its two-game road swing on Wednesday night, traveling to Philadelphia, Pa. to take on Saint Joseph's inside the Michael J. Hagan '85 Arena, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

- The Dukes captured their second straight victory last Saturday (Feb. 14), rolling to an 87-60 victory at Fordham, despite trailing by double figures in the opening half. Five players finished in double figures to lead Duquesne.

- Trailing 34-33 at the break, Duquesne came out of the locker room in control, using a decisive 18-8 run to seize momentum. The Dukes shot 5-of-8 from the field during the stretch, knocked down three triples and went a perfect 5-of-5 from the free-throw line.

- Sophomore Mackenzie Blackford jumpstarted the surge with a three-pointer, and after a Fordham response from beyond the arc, freshman Raevin Washington answered with an old-fashioned three-point play.

- Junior Reina Green added a pair from the stripe before the teams traded baskets, keeping Duquesne in front, 46-42. Blackford later converted two free throws, and freshman Alexis Bordas drained a long-range shot to extend the advantage to 51-42 with 5:47 left in the quarter. Following a brief scoring drought, Duquesne closed the period on an 11-4 run, with five different players contributing to build a commanding 62-46 lead heading into the fourth.

- The Dukes carried that momentum into the final frame, opening on a 12-6 burst to push the margin to 74-52. Washington led the charge with five points during the run, while sophomore Fatou Sane added a pair of layups. Duquesne later stretched its lead to its largest of the afternoon, 80-55, as Sane knocked down a pair at the chalk, giving the Dukes a comfortable cushion with just over five minutes remaining.

- After battling the Hawks, Duquesne returns home to host VCU on Saturday, Feb. 21, inside UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.

Washington scored all 12 of her points in the second half, going 5-of-7 from the floor, and pulled down seven rebounds after the break, including three on the offensive glass. The performance marked her fourth game in double figures this season and the second time she has led the Dukes in rebounding. The Virginia native has also emerged as one of the conference's premier rim protectors, ranking fourth in the league with 36 total blocks and fourth in blocks per game at 1.5. She has recorded at least two blocks in 10 games, including four contests with three or more rejections. On the year, Washington is averaging just under five points per game while pulling down the third-most rebounds on the team at 4.0 per contest.

Trigger The Rhythm – One of the most consistent scoring threats over the past month has been sophomore guard Mackenzie Blackford. Blackford most recently recorded her second 20-point performance of the season, pouring in a team-high 23 points in a victory over the Rams. She shot 46.7% (7-of-15) from the floor and 55.6% (5-of-9) from three-point range in the win. The outing marked her fourth consecutive game in double figures and her 10th of the season, while also extending her streak to three straight contests with five or more made triples. The Ohio native has established herself as one of the conference's premier sharpshooters, ranking fourth in the league with 62 made three-pointers and fourth in three-pointers per game at 2.5. She currently sits second on the team in scoring at 10.6 points per game, shooting better than 36.0 percent from both the field and three-point range, and has totaled the second-most steals on the squad with 35.
