The Series vs. St. Bonaventure – One of the longest tenured series, the Dukes and Bonnies will square off for the 72nd time on Wednesday night. Duquesne has won 16 of the last 17 meetings, including a 74-48 victory in Pittsburgh last season. Duquesne came out firing from behind the arc, draining three triples to jump out to an early 9-3 lead. St. Bonaventure responded with a 10-2 run, seizing a 13-11 advantage with four minutes remaining in the opening quarter. However, the Dukes closed the period on a 7-0 surge, reclaiming control at 18-13. Junior Andjela Matic ignited the run with a three-pointer, followed by a driving layup from senior Megan McConnell and a strong finish from junior Jerni Kiaku. The second quarter opened with back-and-forth action before Duquesne found its rhythm again, unleashing an 11-2 run to extend its lead to 35-20. Kiaku sparked the stretch with consecutive layups, and after a pair of free throws from the Bonnies, senior Kiandra Browne and McConnell added back-to-back buckets. Matic capped the surge with another deep three. St. Bonaventure managed to score five of the final nine points of the half, but Duquesne remained in control, taking a 39-25 lead into the break. Gabby Hutcherson delivered a strong performance, finishing with 15 points, five rebounds, and four assists, while Jerni Kiaku added 10 points and four boards. Senior Kiandra Browne contributed nine points, three rebounds, and two assists. Duquesne dominated inside, scoring 32 points in the paint and outpacing St. Bonaventure 14-3 in fast-break points. The Dukes also controlled the boards, holding a 38-24 rebounding advantage while limiting the Bonnies to just 32.7 percent shooting (17-of-52) from the field.

Scouting The Bonnies – St. Bonaventure enters Wednesday's contest having won three of its last five games, holding a 10-5 overall record and a 1-2 mark in conference play. The Bonnies most recently fell to Richmond, 80-60, on Saturday (Jan. 3). St. Bonaventure features two players averaging double figures, led by Laycee Drake and Aaliyah Parker. Drake paces the team with 16.4 points per game while adding 6.5 rebounds and a team-high 29 steals. She is shooting better than 47.0 percent from the field and has knocked down 20 three-pointers at a 37.7 percent clip. Parker is contributing just under 13 points per game, along with 5.6 rebounds, while shooting 43.0 percent from the floor. She ranks second on the team with 28 steals and has recorded double figures in 11 games this season. As a team, the Bonnies are allowing just 60.6 points per game, the fourth best in the Atlantic 10, while shooting just under 44.0 percent from the field, ranking fifth in the league.

Dayton Remains - Dayton (8-6 | 1-2 A-10) opened the game with a 9-4 lead before sophomore guard Mackenzie Blackford buried a triple to cut the deficit to two with just over three-minutes remaining. The Flyers pushed their advantage to 14-9 before Duquesne ended the quarter with eight consecutive points to lead 17-14 after one. Sophomore Nadia Moore connected on a three-pointer, followed by a putback from classmate Harriet Ford and a long ball from junior Reina Green. Duquesne continued its momentum in the second quarter as Moore registered a jumper and Blackford connected on another triple to give the Dukes a 22-14 cushion. Dayton answered with a 15-2 burst over the next five-minutes, shooting 5-of-7 from the field with two three-pointers to reclaim the lead, 29-24, with 2:45 remaining before the half. Walker connected on a pair at the charity stripe to stem the tide as Bordas hit a three-pointer to knot the game at 29-all. After trading baskets, Green buried a pair at the chalk to give Duquesne a 33-32 edge at the half.

Touch The Paint – A key to the Dukes' success this season has been their dominance in the paint. Duquesne is averaging 33.4 points per game in the paint over the last 14 contests, scoring at least 30 points in seven games, 50 or more twice, and reaching 60 on one occasion. Earlier this season, the Dukes set a program record with 66 points in the paint during a 102-73 victory over West Liberty (Nov. 11). A major contributor to those numbers has been sophomore forward Harriet Ford, who is averaging just under 10 points per game while pulling down a league-leading 8.7 rebounds. Ford has scored in double figures seven times this season and leads the team with four double-doubles. She is shooting an efficient 46.9 percent from the field (46-of-98), and her 4.6 offensive rebounds per game rank third in the nation.

One Moore Thing – Finding her stride in recent weeks has been sophomore guard Nadia Moore. After missing the previous 10 games, Moore has recorded back-to-back double-figure performances in her last two outings. In her return against Saint Louis, she finished with 15 points on 7-of-14 shooting while adding three rebounds. Most recently, Moore poured in a career-high 18 points on 44.4 percent shooting (8-of-18) while collecting four rebounds and dishing out two assists at Dayton. She scored 11 of her 18 points in the second half, shooting 5-of-10 (50.0 percent) from the field and pulling down three rebounds after the break. The sophomore has scored in double figures in all four games she has played this season, averaging 15.8 points and 3.5 rebounds per game while shooting 50.0 percent from the field (26-of-52). She has knocked down at least one three-pointer in each appearance, with just one game this season coming below 50.0 percent shooting.

Splash Zone – The Dukes feature two of the top three-point shooters in the Atlantic 10 in freshman Alexis Bordas and sophomore Mackenzie Blackford. Bordas currently leads the conference and ranks 13th nationally, averaging more than three three-pointers per game, while her 37.1 percent shooting from beyond the arc ranks fifth in the league. The West Virginia native is tied for the most three-pointers made in a single game this season after connecting on a season-high 10 triples in an 84-69 victory over Pitt on Dec. 21. Her 43 made triples rank third in the A-10 and 20th in NCAA Division I, and she has knocked down three or more threes in eight games this season. Blackford is averaging two made three-pointers per game, ranking seventh in the conference, while her 32.2 percent shooting from deep also sits seventh. She trails only Bordas on the team with 28 made triples and has hit at least two long balls in seven contests. Together, the duo has combined for 71 three-pointers through the first 14 games, shooting 35.3 percent (71-of-203) from beyond the arc.

Glass Cleaners - Duquesne continues to limit opponents to one shot per possession, driven by its overwhelming dominance on the glass. The Dukes rank eighth nationally with more than 45 rebounds per game and sit fifth in Division I with over 17 offensive rebounds per contest. That rebounding edge has fueled 10 games with 40 or more rebounds this season, including four outings with 50-plus boards, all resulting in Duquesne victories. Sophomore forward Harriet Ford has been the catalyst behind that success. She averages just under nine rebounds per game, ranking first in the Atlantic 10, while her 4.6 offensive rebounds per contest sit third nationally. Ford has recorded four double-doubles, the second most in the conference and has led the Dukes in rebounding nine times this season. Freshman Raevin Washington adds another strong presence on the glass, averaging just under five rebounds per game while collecting five or more boards in seven contests.
