Edinboro, Pa. – The Duquesne women's tennis opened the 2025-26 season with a 7-0 sweep over Edinboro on Sunday morning.

DU's dominance carried into singles play, where all six competitors recorded straight-set victories. Junior
Alexandra O'Brien (6-3, 7-6(4)), Yakunina (6-3, 7-5), and Serrano (6-2, 6-2) each secured solid wins, while Arinez Guilarte (4-2, retired) advanced after her opponent was forced to retire. Lopez-Linares Perez (6-4, 6-0) and Roka (6-1, 6-0) closed out the sweep, giving DU a perfect start to the season
