Richmond, Va. – The Duquesne women's tennis team traveled to Richmond, Va., for an Atlantic 10 matchup against VCU, falling 4-0 at the Thalhimer Tennis Center. With the loss, the Dukes drop to 6-10 overall and 0-3 in conference play.

In doubles action, VCU secured the doubles point with wins at No. 1 (6-3) and No. 2 (6-2), leaving Duquesne chasing the match from the outset.

In singles play, the Dukes showed flashes of competitiveness but couldn't convert momentum into completed wins. Naomi Lalonde dropped a 6-2, 6-2 decision at the top spot, while Taisia Yakunina fell 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 as VCU clinched the team victory. Several other courts remained unfinished, but there were signs of resistance, Alexandra O'Brien battled to a tight 7-5 first set before trailing in the second, and Jasa Roka and Denisse Arinez Guilarte were still in progress when the match was decided.
