- The Duquesne University women's golf team opens up its 2025-26 season this weekend by traveling to Lewisburg, Pa., to take part in the Bucknell Fall Invitational Friday, Sept. 5, through Sunday, Sept. 7, at Bucknell Golf Club.
 
- The Dukes, in their second season as an NCAA Division I program, are opening their campaign for the second consecutive year with the Bucknell Fall Invitational. Last season, Duquesne finished eighth out of 13 teams with a 54-hole score of 944 in their NCAA Division I debut.
 
- Bucknell Golf Club is 5,901 yards and owns a par of 70. Tee times for Friday and Saturday are at 9:00 a.m., with the third and final round Sunday slated to begin at 8:30 a.m.
 
- The Dukes return each of their top six golfers from their inaugural NCAA Division I season, including sophomore Sasha Petrochko. Named to the 2025 Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team during her rookie campaign, Petrochko led Duquesne with a stroke average of 75.9.
 
- Petrochko was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week five times during the 2024-25, the most of any student-athlete in the conference. She produced six top 10 finishes in eight tournaments.
 
- Of Petrochko's six top 10 finishes last season, two came in the top five, including medalist honors at the Red Flash Invitational with a 36-hole score of 148 (78, 70).
 
- Also earning an Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week nod for the Dukes during the 2024-25 season was senior Lindsey Powanda, who closed at 230 at the UNCG Collegiate in Greensboro, N.C., at Forest Oaks Country Club to finish in a tie for 28th individually. Powanda finished second for Duquesne last season with an average round of 79.3.
 
- Duquesne added two recruits to its roster for 2025-26, as Ashley von Behren and Lilly Powell join the Dukes this season. von Behren, a native of Eagle, Idaho, is two-time Idaho state champion, while Powell, a native of Southport, N.C., qualified for the state championship in each of her four years at South Brunswick High School.
 
- In her second season as head coach at Duquesne is Colleen Meyers, who was selected to lead the program in August of 2023. She spent two seasons as an assistant coach with Carnegie Mellon from 2021 to 2023 and also was the head coach at Oakland Catholic High School from 2015 to 2023.
 
- Women's golf was added in April of 2022 at Duquesne along with triathlon and acrobatics & tumbling. Triathlon made its debut during the 2023-24 season and is in its third season, while women's golf and acrobatics & tumbling are in their second season of competition in 2025-26.
 
- Sewickley Heights Golf Club serves as the home of Duquesne golf. Founded in 1961, the course is used for practice for the program and has also hosted the United States Women's Amateur in 1966 and the Champion's Pittsburgh Senior Classic in 1998.
 
- The field for the Bucknell Fall Invitational includes 19 teams and 108 individuals. In addition to the host Bison, which has a pair of teams entered, Stonehill has also entered two teams in the field. Also competing this weekend at the Bucknell Fall Invite with the Dukes is Holy Cross, La Salle, Le Moyne, Long Island, Manhattan, Mercyhurst, Merrimack, Mount St. Mary's, New Haven, Niagara, Purdue Fort Wayne, Saint Francis, Saint Joseph's and Wagner.
