GENEVA, Ohio — The Duquesne University indoor track and field team recorded six first-place finishes during a split-squad weekend. Seniors
Alyssa Willis and
Amy Allen combined for four of the team's 16 top-five finishes at Saturday's SPIRE Collegiate Indoor Games, while freshman
Nadia Constantakis reset her own program record in the pole vault at Youngstown State. Seniors
Haley Hamilton and
Hannah Seitzinger also competed at Boston University.

BOSTON U RESULTS
AT SPIRE
Willis finished second in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.68 seconds and placed third in the 200 meters, crossing the line in 25.45 seconds.
Allen won the 400 meters with a career-best 55.31 seconds, moving her up to fourth-fastest in Duquesne history. The South Fayette native also took fifth in the 200 meters with a time of 25.51.
Senior
Mara Whalen claimed victory in the 800 meters, finishing in 2:14.38.
Freshman
Morgan Roemer secured her first collegiate win in the mile with a time of 5:05.36.
Sophomore
Anna Rorrer won the 60-meter hurdles in 8.81 seconds, good for a personal-best and the fifth-fastest time in program history.
Madelyn Moretti captured first place in the shot put with a mark of 14.32 meters (46-11.75).
Whalen and Roemer also contributed to a strong showing in the 4x400-meter relay, teaming up with
Cydney Blahovec and
Reagan Ryen to finish fifth in 4:09.13.
Senior
Kaylin Cousin added a third-place finish in the 400m with a time of 59.52.
Freshman
Rose Kuchera reached the top five in two events, just a week after earning her second Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honor. The Canon-McMillan product placed fourth in the long jump with a distance of 5.51 meters (18-1) and finished fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 11.47 meters (37-7.75).
In the 3000m, junior
Ryley Schwalm (10:10.16) and freshman
Grace Senneway (10:18.46) both set personal bests, finishing second and fourth, respectively.
AT YSU
Nadia Constantakis reset her own Duquesne program record in the pole vault at Youngstown State's Last Chance Invitational on Friday. The freshman cleared 3.62 meters (11-10.5) on her first attempt, surpassing her previous program record of 3.55 meters (11-7.75), set at Ashland on January 25. Constantakis is the only Duke to clear 3.50 meters in the past 12 years, last achieved by Franki DiSalvo and Taylor Yarshen in 2012.
In addition to Constantakis' record-setting performance, DU had four competitors in the 5,000 meters, led by senior
Gina Bolla, who claimed first place. Bolla finished in 17:29.71, becoming one of three Dukes to set a personal best in the event. Freshman
Ava Brewster placed sixth, posting a personal record of 18:38.39, while junior
Maggie Danzer finished eighth with a PR of 18:55.15. Senior
Anna Duncan rounded out the group, placing 11th in 19:59.06.
AT BOSTON U
The Dukes had two seniors competing at Boston University's David Hemery Valentine Invitational:
Hannah Seitzinger ran a 2:09.76 in the 800 meters and
Haley Hamilton clocked a 5:02.51 in the mile. Both recorded their second-best times in their respective events on Saturday.
PR HIGHLIGHTS
Freshman
Trinity Basara and senior
Delaney Line each recorded personal records in the 400m, with Basara charting a time of 1:02.20 and Line close behind at 1:02.34. Junior
Eva Leatherman set two personal records: 2:24.82 in the 800 meters and 9.62 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles. Freshman
Megan Palinski recorded an early career-best mark in the weight throw at 12.63 meters (41-5.25).
UP NEXT
Duquesne will be off next weekend before the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships, scheduled for Feb. 28–March 1 in Virginia Beach, Va.
