Rookie Sensation - For the third time this season, freshman guard
Alexis Bordas of the Duquesne women's basketball team has been named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday. Bordas delivered a season-best performance to help Duquesne snap a three-game skid with an 84-69 victory over Pitt in the annual City Game. The freshman poured in a season-high 38 points, shooting 11-of-22 (50.0 percent) from the floor and 10-of-18 (55.6 percent) from three-point range. All Systems Green – Junior guard
Reina Green has emerged as a key contributor for the Dukes in recent weeks. Just last season, the NCAA Division I women's record for consecutive games with a made three-pointer was broken. Iowa State had previously held the mark with an astounding 945-game streak dating back to February 19, 1995, when the Cyclones competed in the Big Eight Conference.
