Alexis Bordas gave the Dukes its largest lead of the contest with a long ball, 62-58, before Eastern Michigan rattled off nine straight points to regain the lead. Later in the quarter, a layup from Fernanda Ovalle gave the Eagles a 71-63 cushion before a pull-up jumper from sophomore
Faith Walker and a long ball from Bordas cut the deficit to three with under five minutes remaining.
- Sisi Eleko would go one-of-two from the foul line to push the lead to 72-68 until both teams went on a three-minute scoring drought. Grantham-Medley and junior

Raevin Washington led to a fastbreak layup for Green which knotted the score at 72-all with 37 seconds remaining.

DUQ Game Notes
Scouting The Seawolves – A member of the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA), Stony Brook enters Sunday with a 3–8 overall record after dropping five of its last six games, including a 73-42 setback to St. John's on Wednesday night. The Seawolves feature three players averaging double figures, led by Janay Brantley, who is posting 10.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. Caitlin Frost and Diaka Berete each add 10.1 points per contest, with Frost pacing the team on the glass with just under seven rebounds per game. She has recorded two double-doubles this season and has posted three games with double-digit rebounds. Berete leads the team and ranks second in the CAA with 21 three-pointers, connecting on 1.9 per game, seventh-best in the conference. On the defensive end, Sandra Frau Garcia paces the CAA with 24 total steals, while her 2.2 per game ranks third in the league. She is also directing the offense with 4.2 assists per contest, good for third in the conference, and her 46 total dimes rank second.
Eastern Michigan Remains - Eastern Michigan (6-3) came out blazing in the opening quarter, shooting a blistering 75.0 percent from the floor (9-of-12) and 7-of-9 at the foul line. The Eagles held a narrow 9-6 edge early before closing the quarter on a dominant 17-4 run, building a 26-10 cushion after 10 minutes. Duquesne answered with authority to start the second quarter, ripping off an 11-2 burst to trim the deficit to 28-21. Bordas jump-started the surge with a three-pointer, and after an Eagles bucket, Walker and Bordas drilled back-to-back pull-up jumpers. A brief scoring lull followed, but Green knocked down a jumper from the right corner, and Walker capped the run with two free-throws. Brooklyn Thrash momentarily slowed the Dukes with a layup, but Grantham-Medley struck right back with consecutive baskets to pull Duquesne within 30-25. Eastern Michigan, however, countered with a strong finish, closing the half on a 10-3 run to take a 40-28 advantage into the break.
Driving The Pace – During its four-game road swing, redshirt sophomore
Gabby Grantham-Medley has continued to pace the Dukes offensively. Over the past four contests, Grantham-Medley is averaging 13.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.0 steals per game while shooting over 33.0 percent from the field and 77.8 percent (14-of-18) from the charity stripe. She has recorded double figures in three of the past four contests while leading the Dukes in scoring in back-to-back outings. The Redshirt sophomore is currently coming off tying her career-high at Eastern Michigan, where she posted 17 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Overall, the Maryland native sits second on the team in scoring, posting 11.1 points per game while her 5.5 rebounds per contest ranks second. Grantham-Medley has finished in double figures in seven of the first 10 games of the season while leading the team in scoring on three different occasions.
Production By Committee - Duquesne continues to showcase its balanced offensive attack, with four Dukes averaging double figures on the season. Alongside redshirt sophomore
Gabby Grantham-Medley, freshman standout
Alexis Bordas leads the way with 13.9 points per game while adding 3.4 rebounds and 2.1 steals. Bordas paces the team and ranks second in the Atlantic 10 with 28 three-pointers, shooting 35.9 percent from beyond the arc, eighth best in the conference. Sophomore guard
Mackenzie Blackford follows with 10.4 points per contest, contributing 3.4 rebounds, 1.8 steals, and 1.6 assists. A consistent perimeter threat, she has knocked down 21 triples this year at a 35.0 percent clip, ninth in the A-10. Dating back to last season, Blackford has hit at least one three-pointer in 16 straight games. Rounding out the scoring quartet is sophomore forward
Harriet Ford, who adds just over 10 points per game while establishing herself as one of the nation's premier rebounders. Ford ranks second in the conference with 8.5 boards per contest, including five offensive rebounds per game, a mark that stands fourth nationally. She has led the Dukes on the glass six times this season, recording four or more offensive rebounds in five games.
Green Means Go – A key catalyst for the Dukes during their road swing has been the elevated play of junior guard
Reina Green. Since stepping into the starting lineup at Navy, Green has provided a steady spark, averaging 9.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assists, while converting 50.0 percent (13-of-26) of her attempts over the last four games. She enters Sunday riding back-to-back 10-point performances at Davidson and Eastern Michigan, shooting an efficient 80.0 percent (4-of-5) against the Wildcats and 50.0 percent (4-of-8) against the Eagles. Green has also made her presence felt on the boards, grabbing five or more rebounds in three of the last four games, including a pair of seven-rebound outings against Liberty (Nov. 29) and at Navy (Nov. 30). For the season, the Florida native is averaging just under 6.0 points per game and has totaled 37 rebounds, with 10 coming on the offensive end. Defensively, she continues to be disruptive, ranking third on the team with 15 steals, recording two or more in four contests.
