Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Duquesne University bowling team concluded its second competition of the 2025-26 season Sunday, finishing with a record of 6-6 over the course of three days in Orlando, Fla., at AMF Sky Lanes as part of Destination Orlando. The Dukes have compiled an overall record of 13-12 (.520) during the 2025-26 campaign.
BAKER ACTION
Duquesne opened play Friday in Baker action, finishing 3-2, including a victory over No. 7 North Carolina A&T. The Dukes split their first two matches, defeating Alabama State, 943-910, before falling to No. 5 Wichita State, 1,144-898. Rebounding to win the match with the Aggies by six pins, 907-901, Duquesne followed with a 972-809 triumph over Saint Anselm before rounding out action with an 895-851 setback to No. 10 Maryville. Anna Clark subbing in for the final two matches of the day against Saint Anselm and Maryville for Siekierski. The best score of the day in Baker play came in game five against Alabama State, as the Dukes fired a 238.
TRADITIONAL HABITUAL
Moving to traditional play Saturday at Destination Orlando, Duquesne finished 2-3. The first match saw No. 16 UMES earn a 1,062-924 win before the Dukes rebounded to defeat Florida A&M, 915-731. Setbacks to No. 18 UAB (893-798) and No. 1 Jacksonville State (1,048-930) followed but Duquesne rallied to end the day with a 952-938 victory over No. 11 Sacred Heart. Leading the Dukes during traditional action was Miller, the reigning
Northeast Conference (NEC) Rookie of the Week, who knocked down 980 pins over the course of five games, an average of 196. She finished 19th individually, finishing with a 218 against the Blazers before her best score of the afternoon with a 220 in the triumph over the Pioneers.
SPARES & STRIKES
Duquesne closed out Destination Orlando in the championship bracket by dropping a 4-3 decision to Bryant before rebounding to earn a 4-2 victory over No. 6 Arkansas State … The Bulldogs erased a 3-1 deficit against the Dukes to win the seven-game series … Against the Red Wolves, Duquesne earned a 227-170 win in game one before falling behind in the series, 2-1 … The Dukes responded to the deficit against Arkansas State with a 193-163 win in game four before posting a 213-179 triumph in game five and sealing the series victory in game six, 237-213 … Baker logged the top game for Duquesne in traditional play, firing a 258 in the opener against UMES, and averaged 189 over the course of five games … Siekierski finished with an average of 190.80 in five games of traditional play, including a high of 203 against Maryville, a matchup in which Fraticelli also posted a 220.

Duquesne now gears up for the first of two NEC competitions, which takes place in Mount Joy, Pa., at Clearview Lanes. Competition opens Friday, Nov. 7, and runs through Sunday, Nov. 9.
