Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Duquesne University bowling team was honored for its work in the classroom by being named a 2025-26 National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-Academic Scholar Team. In addition, a total of five Dukes were named NTCA All-Academic Scholar-Athletes.
To qualify for the NTCA All-Academic Scholar Team, programs must have maintained a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher during the 2025-26 academic year. A total of 60 teams earned distinction, with Duquesne recording a team GPA of 3.657 this year, which ranked 13th among the teams garnering the honor.
The Dukes have been named an NTCA All-Academic Scholar Team in each of their 10 years as an NCAA Division I program dating back to 2016-17, peaking as high as No. 3 in the country in 2018-19, when Duquesne tallied a 3.601 team GPA.
Individually, named a 2025-26 NTCA All-Academic Scholar-Athlete for the Dukes are senior
Emma Siekierski, juniors
Maribeth Baker and
Ivanna Fraticelli, sophomore
Anna Clark and freshman
Jazmyn Scott. Student-athletes that finish with a GPA of 3.40 or better during the academic year earn the award. For the 2025-26 season, the NTCA recognized a total of 405 student-athletes from 68 programs.
Baker, named the
2025-26 Northeast Conference (NEC) Winter Scholar-Athlete of the Year for bowling as well as to the
2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) All-District® At-Large Team, posted a 3.97 GPA during the 2025-26 academic year and owns a cumulative GPA of 3.85 as a digital arts major.
Siekierski was also named to the 2026 CSC All-District® At-Large Team and logged a 3.45 GPA during the 2025-26 academic year. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Duquesne in athletic training, posting a cumulative GPA of 3.53.
Fraticelli is a health sciences major who finished with a 3.58 GPA as a health sciences major in 2025-26, Clark logged a 3.81 GPA this past academic year as a finance major and in her first year as an NCAA Division I student-athlete, Scott logged a 3.78 GPA as an undeclared business major.
Led by
Jody Fetterhoff, the only head coach in Duquesne's 10-year NCAA Division I history, the Dukes finished the season ranked 19th in the NTCA Top 25 poll for the 2025-26 campaign while closing the year with an overall record of 63-47 (.573).
Duquesne won its first NEC Tournament title and subsequent automatic bid to the NCAA Championship in 2026 and overall in program history has amassed a record of 602-373 (.617). The Dukes have also appeared in each of the last 44 NTCA Top 25 polls dating back to 2018 and have appeared in the NCAA Championship four times (2021, 2023, 2024, 2026), including three at-large bids.
