Pittsburgh, Pa. – A total of six Duquesne University student-athletes across three sports were named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® At-Large Team Tuesday. Earning the honor for the Dukes are junior Maribeth Baker and senior Emma Siekierski of the bowling team, junior Gracin Emerson and senior Chelsea Evans of the lacrosse squad and sophomore Addison Selby and senior Cherise Dicke of the rowing program.
NCAA sports represented in the CSC Academic All-District® At-Large program include women's beach volleyball, bowling, field hockey and rowing, men's and women's fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing and water polo and men's volleyball and wrestling.
Baker, a native of York, Pa., collects her second consecutive CSC Academic All-District® At-Large honor. A digital media arts major, she has compiled a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.85. Named the 2026 Northeast Conference (NEC) Winter Scholar-Athlete of the Year thanks to her prowess both in competition and in the classroom, Baker helped Duquesne win its first NEC Tournament championship this year and subsequent automatic bid to the NCAA Championship. For the Dukes it marked their fourth appearance in the NCAA Championship overall in 10 years as a program.
Siekierski earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Duquesne this year in athletic training, posting a cumulative GPA of 3.53 in collecting her first CSC Academic All-District® At-Large accolade. Also a key component behind the Dukes claiming the 2026 NEC Championship and auto bid to the NCAA Championship, she, along with Baker, earned spots on the 2026 All-NEC First Team. Siekierski, a native of Davison, Mich., was also named to the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association (NCBCA) Honorable Mention All-America Team.
Emerson produced one of the most prolific statistical seasons in program history in 2026, establishing Duquesne and Atlantic 10 Conference single-season records with a total of 66 assists. Her 4.40 assists per game average ranks second in NCAA Division I history for a single season and earned Emerson, a native of Lansing, Mich., statistical champion honors in 2026. A sociology major, Emerson has maintained a 3.90 GPA in earning her first career CSCS Academic All-District® At-Large accolade as well as the 2026 Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team plaudits. Also in 2026, Emerson scored 11 goals to accumulate 77 points, which is tied for the third highest total in the Duquesne single-season record book. She enters her final season with the Dukes next ranked fourth all-time in school history with 93 assists.
Evans, a native of Marlton, N.J., earned a Bachelor of Science in integrated marketing communication with a cumulative GPA of 3.66. One of seven Dukes to start all 15 games in 2026, she finished second on the squad in goals (26) and points (29) while unleashing a team-high 70 shots. She also logged 32 ground balls, a team-high 28 caused turnovers and 24 draw controls. Evans started each of the 46 games she played during her time on the Bluff, missing the 2024 season due to injury, and compiled 87 career points courtesy of 73 goals and 14 assists while also accumulating 96 ground balls, 70 caused turnovers and 82 draw controls.
Selby, like Evans, earns her first CSC Academic All-District® At-Large honor thanks to a 3.97 cumulative GPA as a mathematics and secondary education mathematics double major. She spent the majority of the season as the stroke for the Second Varsity 8 for Duquesne, helping the Dukes finish fifth at the 2026 Atlantic 10 Championship with 29 points. It marked the highest finish for the program at the conference championship in 10 years.
Dicke also earns her first CSC Academic All-District® At-Large honor after completing a four-year career with the Dukes and earning a Bachelor of Science degree in health sciences with a 3.53 cumulative GPA. She sat in the seven seat for Duquesne during the 2025-26 campaign for the Varsity 8, helping the Dukes finish fifth at the 2026 Atlantic 10 Championship while also being a key component for Duquesne when it opened its season by winning its third consecutive Steel City Cup at the Head of the Ohio. Dicke, a native of East London on the Eastern Cape of South Africa, was named to the 2026 Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team.
Among the six honorees, Baker will advance to the national ballot for CSC Academic All-America® consideration, which will be announced Tuesday, July 7. Honorees will include first, second and third team.
