Duquesne Duo Collect NCBCA All-America Plaudits

Baker named to second team, Siekierski earns honorable mention accolades

Pittsburgh, Pa. – A pair of Duquesne University bowlers earned 2025-26 All-America distinction from the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association (NCBCA) Wednesday, as junior Maribeth Baker was named to the second team and senior Emma Siekierski was bestowed honorable mention plaudits. The honors were announced at the annual "Night of Champions" Banquet held in conjunction with the Intercollegiate Team and Singles Championships in Green Bay, Wisc.

For Baker, a native of York, Pa., the honor was her second of the night and third of the 2025-26 campaign. She was also named to the 2026 IBMA All-America First Team Wednesday, a week after being selected to the 2025-26 National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-America Second Team.

Siekierski, a native of Davison, Mich., is the lone senior for Duquesne this season, as she helped the Dukes claim a share of the 2026 Northeast Conference (NEC) regular-season championship as well as the program's first NEC Tournament crown and subsequent automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.

In 1,291 completed frames this year, Siekierski logged an average frame of 19.71 as well as an average of 8.97 on her first ball. She also posted a strike percentage of 44.1 percent, finishing the year 572-of-1,297. Among NCAA Division I leaders, Siekierski ranked 14th in the country in single-pin spare percentage (93.9 percent), the top mark for the Duquesne, a percentage that improved to 97.6 percent in traditional format, which ranked fourth in NCAA Division I.

Siekierski also ranked among the top 50 players in the country in Player Composite Performance Index (PCPI), a measure that combines the identified categories "percentage of competitors that a bowler has outperformed" within that category. Siekierski ranked 48th at 79.257 percent in 1,035 frames.

Baker also ranked among the national leaders in PCPI, finishing 25th at 87.897 percent in 1,031 frames. Elsewhere among NCAA Division I leaders, Baker finished ninth in individual strike percentage (54.4%) as well as seventh as the anchor bowler, posting an average frame of 21.249 in the 10th frame. She also ranked fifth in 10th frame for double percentage (33.9%) and 14th in the same frame for fill percentage at 87.8 percent.

The honors for Baker and Siekierski mark the second consecutive year that the NCBCA has recognized a member of the Dukes with an All-America nod. Last year, Shannon Small (2020-25) earned a spot on the second team, while in 2022 former bowler Olivia Farwell (2017-22) garnered first team plaudits.

Led by Jody Fetterhoff, the only head coach in the program's 10-year history, Duquesne has posted an overall record of 63-45 (.583) in 2025-26, including a ledger of 17-7 (.708) in NEC action. The Dukes will conclude the postseason this weekend by competing at the ITC Championships, which will be held in Green Bay, Wisc., at Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley.
