Pittsburgh, Pa. – Former Duquesne University men's basketball forward
Dusan Mahorcic became the fifth different member of the Dukes to sign a professional contract this summer, as he has inked a deal with Enosis Neon Paralimni of the OPAP Basket League, the Division A league in Cyprus.

In his lone season with the Dukes in 2023-24, Mahorcic played in 26 games, including 15 starts, providing averages of 4.5 points and 2.0 rebounds per game while converting 52.8 percent (47-for-89) of his shots from the field. He also added 14 assists, four blocks and four steals.
Mahorcic made his Duquesne debut against Santa Clara in Las Vegas, Nev., playing just under five minutes and scoring two points and grabbing a pair of rebounds. He scored in double figures twice with the Dukes, including 15 points on perfect 5-for-5 shooting from the field and a 5-for-7 performance at the free-throw line in a 95-47 win over Cleary and 13 points in just over 16 minutes of action in a 75-63 triumph over La Salle, both of which came at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
In five seasons of NCAA basketball that included stops at NCAA Division II Lewis University as well as NCAA Division I stints at Illinois State, Utah, North Carolina State and Duquesne, Mahorcic played in 89 career games, including 43 starts. He notched career averages of 6.4 points and 4.2 rebounds per contest and converted 55.1 percent (226-for-410) of his attempts from the floor.

The Dukes are led by head coach
Dru Joyce III, who is in his first season leading the program in 2024-25. Duquesne welcomes a pair of starters and nine letterwinners back from a 2023-24 squad that posted an overall record of 25-12 (.676), earning its first Atlantic 10 Championship since 1977 and its first win in the NCAA Championship since 1969.
