LAST TIME OUT

  • Duquesne won an overtime thriller on Saturday at George Washington to earn its first A-10 win of the season behind a walk-off goal by Emily King.
  • George Washington was on a clear with less than two minutes remaining in overtime, but Emelie Curtis knocked the ball loose and King scooped the ground ball near midfield. King outran the GW defense and rifled it to the back of the net to walk it off for Duquesne ... It was the first failed clear of the game for the Revolutionaries (16-for-17).
  • The Dukes held a 13-9 lead early in the fourth quarter, but the Revolutionaries rattled off five straight goals to take their first lead of the game (14-13) with 3:44 left to play.
  • Duquesne's defense forced GW out of bounds and got the ball back with 22 seconds left, trailing by one, then Emelie Curtis drew a shooting space violation and earned a free position attempt with four seconds remaining and scored from the FP to force OT.
  • Corinne Webb led a balanced offensive attack for the Dukes, that featured nine scorers, with three goals and one assist ... Curtis, Tristen Chang, Jillian Caroselli, and Mackenzie Leszczynski all netted two goals, while King, Emma Raines, Lindsay Newton, and Lizzie Cleary charted one score each ... Cleary's goal was the first of her career ... Leszczynski, Caroselli, Chang, and Curtis all added an assist apiece.

STREAKS TO NOTE

  • Leszczynski has now scored in eight straight games and Raines is on a five-game scoring stretch.
  • Caroselli and Chang extended their point streaks to seven games.
  • In two games played, Louisville transfer Haley Reeck has three goals.

  • Pawela is six ground balls and 17 caused turnovers away from 100 in her career.
  • She set a new DU single-game record vs. EMU with 10 CTs - the most by a Division I player since Elizabeth Small (Sacred Heart) had 10 against Vermont on 2/28/20.
  • Pawela has three games with eight or more CTs, the only player with multiple games over seven in Division I this season.
  • Pawela has been named the A-10 Defensive Player of the Week twice this season ... Most recently on Mar. 5 after posting 14 GBs and 13 CTs in a 2-0 week for DU ... Her first honor was on Feb. 19 after her record 10 CTs and a career-high eight GBs vs. EMU.

SCOUTING THE BONNIES

  • St. Bonaventure enters the matchup with an unbeaten 2-0 record in A-10 play and 3-0 mark on its home turf this season.
  • The Bonnies (5-4 overall) defeated La Salle (17-7) and George Washington (14-7) in its two conference matchups.
  • Last year, SBU was 6-12 overall and 4-5 in the A-10 ... The Bonnies fended off a furious DU comeback in the 2023 meeting to hold on for a 16-15 win after leading 16-12 with four minutes left.

  • The Dukes have four of the top-five caused turnover games in the A-10 this season (24 vs. EMU, 19 vs. UDM, 17 at Queens, 16 vs. Akron) ... The 24 CTs vs. EMU are the second-most by a D1 team this season.
  • DU is the only A-10 team with multiple games recording more than 30 ground balls (35 vs. Detroit Mercy & 34 at Radford).
