PITTSBURGH - Duquesne Director of Tennis Budi Susanto has announced the 2023 fall schedule for Duquesne Men's and Women's Tennis. Both teams have four competitions on the docket for the Fall season.
Duquesne men's tennis will start the season in Pittsburgh at the Carnegie Mellon Invite (Sep 22nd – Sep 24th). Then, it's off to Ohio for the Youngstown State Invite (Sep 29th – Oct 1st). After that, the Dukes will finish their fall schedule off with the week-long ITA Atlantic Regional from October 10th – 15th hosted by Liberty University and the Toledo Invite later that weekend (Oct 13th – Oct 14th).
Duquesne women's tennis will open the season Sep 15th – 17th with the Carnegie Mellon Invite, followed by the Youngstown State Invite on September 22nd. A couple weeks later, the Dukes move to Morgantown, W.Va. for the West Virginia Invite (Oct 6th – Oct 8th). They wrap up their fall schedule Oct 20th – 22nd in Ohio with the Cleveland State Invite.
The men's team is coming off of an 8-8 record in 2023 and ended the season with a first-round loss in the A-10 Men's Tennis Championship to #9 Saint Joseph's. They were the #8 seed in the tournament after owning a 1-3 conference record.
On the women's side, DU finished last year with a 9-9 overall and 3-2 conference record, earning the #10 seed in the 2023 A-10 Championship. They bowed out in the first round of the tournament to Rhode Island.
A full spring schedule will be released later this fall.
