PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne University tennis team began its 2023 fall campaign this weekend at the Carnegie Mellon Invite. The Dukes competed in 16 singles and eight doubles matches over the two-day event.
Duquesne went 8-8 in singles action as a team and 3-5 in doubles play. A pair of transfers,
Taisia Yakunina, a sophomore transfer from Lipscomb, and
Kaya Rand, a junior transfer from DePaul, led the way with 2-0 singles records. Three of the four doubles teams for the Dukes went 1-1 over the weekend.
