FAIRFAX, Va. – Junior
Cam Mbalo earned a silver medal in the triple jump, highlighting the final day of competition at the IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Championships at George Mason Stadium in Fairfax, Va. on Sunday for the Duquesne men's track and field team.
Mbalo recorded a long of 14.84m (48' 8¼") on his third attempt, which held on for the podium finish. It is the first silver medal of the Pittsburgh native's career, competing in his third IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Championships. Mbalo also has a bronze from the 2021 Atlantic 10 Conference Outdoor Championships.
Freshman
Matt DeMatteo turned in a 53.61 in sixth place of the 400m hurdles, upping his PR and third-fastest time in DU history by 0.16 seconds.
Ryan Ellison ran a 14.60 in the 110m hurdles final, finishing in fifth place.
David Williams posted a 48.55 for a 14
th place finish in the 400m.
