LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Duquesne University men's track and field team competed at the Bison Outdoor Classic, hosted by Bucknell this weekend.
David Williams took third place in the 400m race with a 47.62, the third-fastest time in DU history and a personal best.
The 4x800m relay team of
Sam De La Riva,
Holden Eagle,
Jack Barnhisel, and
Jadon Rahman finished runner-up crossing the line in 7:44.90, the best time of the season so far for the Dukes.
Cam Mbalo placed sixth in the triple jump recording a long of 14.27m (46' 10") on his second attempt.
Matt DeMatteo continued his strong freshman season with a top-10 finish in the 400m hurdles, placing ninth with a 54.71.
Freshman
Joe Klanchar recorded his longest javelin of the year on his second effort, marking 48.56m (159'4").
Freshman
Nathaniel Woshner (8:44.41) and
Ben Hoffman (8:45.30) finished neck-and-neck in the 3000m in 10
th and 11
th place, respectively. It was the first career outdoor 3k for Woshner and a personal-best time for Hoffman, a sophomore.
Senior
Jalin Cooper ran a personal-best 22.30 in the 200m.
Freshmen
Jadon Rahman (1:55.28) and
Holden Eagle (1:56.00) both charted PR's in the 800m, while
Ben Colli (4:03.44) and
Jack Barnhisel (4:04.91) ran personal-best times in the 1500m.
Junior
Anthony Litrenta (14:42.48) and freshman
Casey Padgett (14:48.58) ran their fastest times of their careers in the 5000m.
Duquesne will be back in action on Saturday at the RMU Invite in Moon Township, Pa.
