- Duquesne beat Mason for the ninth-straight time the last time they met, 67-55.
- Duquesne outscored Mason 20-9 in the final quarter to pull away late.
- Tess Myers led Duquesne with 15 points, making five three-pointers.Â
- Duquesne shot 39.1 percent and had four players in double digits.
LAST TIME OUT
- Duquesne secured its first A-10 win against Dayton on Thursday, winning 70-69.
- Despite the tight score, Duquesne was leading by double digits most of the way.
- Amaya Hamilton notched a double-double, scoring 21 points and grabbing 13 rebounds.
- Naelle Bernard had 17 points and Precious Johnson was right behind her with 16 points, and she also grabbed nine rebounds.
- Duquesne shot 41.3 percent in the win.Â

- Megan McConnell is the ONLY player in Division-I Â - men's or women's - to have two triple-doubles this year. Her 8.3 defensive rebounds per game rank fifth in the nation and her 9.7 rebounds per game rank second in the A-10. Her 36 steals are the 35th-most in the country and her 87 assists lead the A-10 and rank 13th nationally.Â
- Tess Myers ranks third in the nation in three pointers with 48 and sixth in three-pointers per game with 3.20. Her 90 total threes last season led the conference and ranked 14th in the nation.Â
- The Dukes are second in the A-10 in rebounds per game (41.9, 47th in nation) and first in defensive rebounds per game (31.3, 12th in nation). Their field goal percentage defense (34.8%) ranks first in the conference and 19th nationally.
A-10 ELITE
- Since taking over as head coach in 2013-14, Dan Burt has led the Dukes to 180 wins. Only Dayton (194) and Fordham (191) have amassed more wins during that span among A-10 teams.
- The Dukes are also one of four Atlantic 10 programs to post a winning season in at least seven of the past nine seasons (Dayton, Fordham, & VCU).Â
- Coming into the season, Duquesne was also tied for the third-most A-10 wins (86) since Burt took over as head coach.
- Since 2013-14, the Dukes have led the Atlantic 10 in scoring offense (2x), scoring margin, field goal percentage (2x), free throw percentage and assists per game (3x).
- Duquesne has ranked at least fifth in the conference in points per game, field goal percentage and assists per game in all but one season since 2014-15.Â

- The Dukes rank 46th in the nation and fifth in the A-10 with 7.9 three-pointers per game.
- Tess Myers ranks sixth in the country with 3.20 threes per game.
- Her 48 three-pointers also rank third in the country.
- She already ranks 7th in Duquesne history with 163 threes and will move into 6th-place with 20 more.
- Myers has made at least two threes in all but two games this season.
- Duquesne has made 10 or more threes five different times this year, tying last year's total.Â
- This year's team has hit 12 or more thress four times already, three more times than last year's team.
- The Dukes' 13 threes against Brown on Nov. 11, Â while shooting 44.8%, which was the fourth-highest total in program history.Â
- Last year's team made 214 three-pointers, which is tied for the fifth-most in Duquesne history.Â
BEASTS ON THE BOARDS
- Megan McConnell ranks second in the A-10 with 9.7 rebounds per game, which ranks 29th nationally. Her 8.3 defensive rebounds per game rank fifth in the nation. Her 146 total rebounds are the 16th-most nationally.
- She led the team with 6.4 rebounds per game last season, which ranked 10th in the conference.Â
- McConnell hauled in at least five rebounds in 22 games last season. She has five or more in 14 out of 15 games so far this year, and eight games with double digit rebounds.
- Precious Johnson ranks second on the team and 11th in the conference with 7.2 rebounds per game.Â
- Duquesne's 31.2 defensive rebounds per game rank 12th in the country. The Dukes' 41.9 rebounds per game rank second in the conference.
PLAYING LIKE A MCCONNELL
- In addition to rebounds, Megan McConnell ranks sixth in the A-10 in steals per game (2.40, 64th in nation) and leads the A-10 in assists per game (5.8, 17th in nation).Â
- Last year she led the team in both assists (4.1) and steals (2.6) per game.
- She has 36 steals already, recorded five in the season opener and had six in the Marshall game.Â
- McConnell recorded a career-high eight steals versus George Washington on Feb. 9, 2022.
- It marked the most steals in a single game by a Dukes player under Head Coach Dan Burt.
LOCK DOWN D
- Duquesne ranks 19th in the country and first in the conference in field goal percentage defense, with opposing teams shooting just 34.8 percent against the Dukes.
- The Dukes' scoring defense ranks fourth in the conference as opposing teams have scored just 61.9 points per game.
- The Dukes held opponents to under 50 points five times last season and won eight games by double digits. They have won six games by double-digits already this year.
- Duquesne held an opponent to under 50 points just once during the previous 2020-21 season (George Mason) and did not win any games in 2020-21 by double digits.
CLUTCH IN CRUNCH TIME
- Duquesne was 0-12 last season in games decided by eight points or less, but it is 5-3 this year - a sign that things are different this season in the clutch moments.
- The Dukes were also winless in the 12 games in which they trailed heading into the fourth quarter, a streak which was also snapped just two games into this season as they trailed 54-53 against Brown on Nov. 11 after three quarters.
- Tess Myers has been clutch late in the game this season. She hit the game-winning three-pointer against Vermont on Dec. 10, scored the last seven points in the six-point win over Kent State on Dec. 7 and scored three of the last four points in the five-point win against Marshall on Nov. 27.
- They are 9-0 when leading after three quarters this year.
