Duquesne looks to bounce back from a road loss this Wednesday when it hosts the visiting Bonnies of St. Bonaventure at 6:00 P.M. ET at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
THE SERIES - vs. ST. BONAVENTURE
- The Dukes are 44-21 all-time against St. Bonaventure.
- Duquesne is 26-5 against SBU at home.
- Duquesne is currently on a 2-game winning streak against SBU and has won nine of the past 10 games.
- The Dukes are 39-20 against the Bonnies when they have met in conference play.
- The first matchup was in 1981.
SCOUTING ST. BONAVENTURE
- SBU is 3-15 overall and 0-3 in conference play. The Bonnies have last seven games in a row.
- Their most recent loss was at home to GW on Sunday, losing 56-43.

- Taylor Jameson is the team's leading scorer at 14.0 points per game.
- I'yanna Lops leads the team in scoring (11.3), rebounding (5.6), steals (1.2) and blocks (1.9).

LAST MATCHUP - FEB. 20, 2022
- The Dukes converted a program-record 19 three pointers to surge past St. Bonaventure, 99-75, the last time they met.
- The 19 threes tied an A-10 record.
- Tess Myers hit six, Libby Bazelak hit five and Fatou Pouye also hit five.
- Duquesne capped the game off with 32 points in the fourth quarter.
- Overall, Duquesne shot a crazy 57.6 percent from three.
LAST TIME OUT
- Duquesne fell on the road to George Mason, 45-61.
- Duquesne was down by as many as 18, but went on a 13-0 run in the third quarter to get as close as three points.
- Naelle Bernard led the team with 15 points on 4-of-8 shooting.
- Megan McConnell grabbed 12 rebounds and scored eight points.
- Duquesne shot just 28.3 percent in the loss.

- Megan McConnell is the ONLY player in Division-I or Division-II - men's or women's - to have two triple-doubles this year. Her 8.2 defensive rebounds per game rank sixth in the nation and her 9.9 rebounds per game rank first in the A-10. Her 38 steals are the 35th-most in the country and her 89 assists lead the A-10 and rank 17th nationally.
- Tess Myers ranks sixth in the nation in three pointers with 50 and 10th in three-pointers per game with 3.12. Her 90 total threes last season led the conference and ranked 14th in the nation.
- The Dukes are second in the A-10 in rebounds per game (41.8, 54th in nation) and first in defensive rebounds per game (30.9, 14th in nation). Their field goal percentage defense (34.8%) ranks first in the conference and 17th nationally.
A-10 ELITE
- Since taking over as head coach in 2013-14, Dan Burt has led the Dukes to 180 wins. Only Dayton (194) and Fordham (192) have amassed more wins during that span among A-10 teams.
- The Dukes are also one of four Atlantic 10 programs to post a winning season in at least seven of the past nine seasons (Dayton, Fordham, & VCU).
- Coming into the season, Duquesne was also tied for the third-most A-10 wins (86) since Burt took over as head coach.
- Since 2013-14, the Dukes have led the Atlantic 10 in scoring offense (2x), scoring margin, field goal percentage (2x), free throw percentage and assists per game (3x).
- Duquesne has ranked at least fifth in the conference in points per game, field goal percentage and assists per game in all but one season since 2014-15.
BEASTS ON THE BOARDS
- Megan McConnell leads the A-10 with 9.9 rebounds per game, which ranks 28th nationally. Her 8.2 defensive rebounds per game rank sixth in the nation. Her 158 total rebounds are the 16th-most nationally.
- She led the team with 6.4 rebounds per game last season, which ranked 10th in the conference.
- McConnell hauled in at least five rebounds in 22 games last season. She has five or more in 15 out of 16 games so far this year, and nine games with double digit rebounds.
- Precious Johnson ranks second on the team and 12th in the conference with 6.9 rebounds per game.
- Duquesne's 30.9 defensive rebounds per game rank 14th in the country. The Dukes' 41.4 rebounds per game rank second in the conference.
PLAYING LIKE A MCCONNELL
- In addition to rebounds, Megan McConnell ranks fifth in the A-10 in steals per game (2.38, 66th in nation) and leads the A-10 in assists per game (5.6, 20th in nation).
- Last year she led the team in both assists (4.1) and steals (2.6) per game.
- She has 38 steals already, recorded five in the season opener and had six in the Marshall game.
- McConnell recorded a career-high eight steals versus George Washington on Feb. 9, 2022.
- It marked the most steals in a single game by a Dukes player under Head Coach Dan Burt.
50TH ANNIVERSARY
- 2022-23 is Duquesne Women's Basketball's 50th season. 1972 was the first season.
- In the past 50 years the program has put together an all-time record of 670-660 (.503), a Division I record of 566-589 (.489) and an Atlantic 10 Record of 255-331 (.435).
- The program has had 10 head coaches since its inception.
HOME COURT ADVANTAGE
- Since taking over as head coach in the 2013-14 season, Dan Burt has led the Dukes to a 96-39 record in home games.
- Not including the shortened 2020-21 season (only five home games), the Dukes haven't had a losing record at home since 2006-07 and never have under Burt.
- The Dukes went 8-7 at home last season in their first full season at the upgraded UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
- Duquesne is 9-1 at home this season.

- Duquesne ranks 17th in the country and first in the conference in field goal percentage defense, with opposing teams shooting just 34.8 percent against the Dukes.
- The Dukes' scoring defense ranks sixth in the conference as opposing teams have scored just 61.9 points per game.
- The Dukes held opponents to under 50 points five times last season and won eight games by double digits. They have won six games by double-digits already this year.
- Duquesne held an opponent to under 50 points just once during the previous 2020-21 season (George Mason) and did not win any games in 2020-21 by double digits.
