Delaney Rodriguez-Shaw helped lead Puerto Rico to an 11
th-place finish at the
2022 World Lacrosse Women's Championship held in Maryland.

Rodriguez-Shaw played in all eight games and paced the Puerto Rican team with 17 goals. She also added six assists to lead the team with 23 points during the championship. Her 17 goals were good for 22
nd overall at the global event.

Rodriguez-Shaw scored multiple goals in seven of the eight contests, including a four-goal, three-assist showing in a loss to Israel in pool play. Israel eventually earned a sixth-place finish at the event.

Puerto Rico, which was seeded 25
th ahead of the event, exceeded expectations by finishing among the top-12 nations in the world. The team went 3-1 in "Pool B" play to qualify for the Championship Bracket. After falling to eventual-runner up and No. 2 seed Canada in the first round, Puerto Rico won two of its next three games in the Championship Bracket Consolation rounds to earn 11
th place.

This was Puerto Rico's first appearance in the World Lacrosse Women's Championship at the senior level. Almost its entire roster has either played at the NCAA level or committed to an NCAA institution. Â
