No. 5 seed Duquesne will open play at the 2022 Atlantic 10 Lacrosse Championship in Amherst, Massachusetts on Thursday, April 28 at 11 a.m. when it takes on No. 4 seed Davidson in a first round game.

The winner of the opening round game will take on top-seed UMass in the quarterfinals the following day. All A-10 Championship games will air on ESPN+
CHAMPIONSHIP NOTES
- The Dukes are making their first appearance in the Atlantic 10 Championship since 2019 and just their third appearance since 2016.
- This will be the 15th A-10 Championship appearance in program history.
- The team enters the postseason on a four-game winning-streak that propelled it up to the fifth seed in the championship.
- The Dukes ended the regular-season averaging 12.44 goals per game, but were scoring 17.00 per game during the current winning streak.
- The Dukes enter the postseason ranked among the top-10 in the country in both caused turnovers and ground balls per game.
- Duquesne ranks second in the A-10 and eighth in Division I with 11.06 caused turnovers per game.
- The team leads the league and ranks fourth nationally with 20.81 ground balls per game.
- The Dukes collected a pair of Atlantic 10 weekly awards for the third-straight week on Monday. Alana Piano was named Defensive Player of the Week and Sam King was named Rookie of the Week.
- It was the third-straight weekly award for Piano and the third-straight Duquesne freshman to earn rookie honors.
- Piano leads the A-10 and ranks third in Division I with 2.62 caused turnovers per game.
- The team captain ranks second in the country with 3.44 ground balls per game. Only Gardner-Webb's Danielle Burke (3.50 per game) is averaging more ground balls.
- Piano also slots ninth in the A-10 with 3.25 draw controls per game.
- An excellent two-way player, Piano is fourth on the team with 31 goals, second with eight assists and tied for second on the Dukes with 39 points.
- Delaney Rodriguez-Shaw was named the A-10 Rookie of the Week four times this season and is the team's leading goal scorer.
- She ranks sixth in the A-10 with 42 goals and eighth with 53 points.
- She ranks second in the league with both 6.00 shots per game and 4.50 shots on-goal per game.
- Defender Maggie Flynn is fourth in the A-10 with 1.38 caused turnovers per game, while Kaitlin Rice slots sixth in the league with 1.31 per game.
- In ground balls, Rice ranks second in the A-10 and 12th in the nation with 3.00 per game, with Flynn slotting 10th in the league with 1.94 per game.
- Tina St. Clair is second on the Dukes and 10th in the A-10 with 37 goals this season, while reigning A-10 Rookie of the Week Sam King is third on the team and 11th in the league with 36 goals.
- St. Clair matched a career-high with five goals in games versus Butler and UMass this season.
- King scored a career-high five goals in the regular-season finale win at St. Bonaventure this past Saturday.
- King ranks third in the A-10 and 20th in Division I with a .571 shot percentage.
- Goalie Mady Piersielak ranks seventh in the A-10 with a 13.14 goals against average and eighth with 5.73 saves per game.
- Corinne Desrosiers is in her fourth season at the helm of the Duquesne program and is making her second trip to the Atlantic 10 Championship with the Dukes.
- The Dukes were picked to finish fifth in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll.
