PITTSBURGH - Head coach
Chase Brooks has announced the first members of Duquesne's 2022 men's soccer recruiting class. The group of six, all of whom will join the squad this spring, includes four transfers as well as a pair of additional freshmen.

When the season ended, we met as a staff and knew we wanted to capitalize on the momentum from the fall and keep building toward an Atlantic 10 Championship. The addition of these six high-character players shows that we are focused on - and capable of taking - the next step."
Duquesne is coming off its first Atlantic 10 Championship title game appearance since 2002. DU's 10 wins is 2021 were the program's most since 2006.

Club: Blacktown City FC
- Was named the Mamre Anglican Senior School 2017 Sportsman of the Year.
- Two-time New South Wales All-State pick (2016 & 2017).
- Declined an invitation to represent the National Australian Schoolboys team in Japan in 2017.
- Was named the Western Sydney Wanderers U16 Player of the Season in 2016.
- Born on January 9, 2001 in Sydney.

- Listed among Top Drawer Soccer's Top 150 players for two consecutive years at multiple positions.
- Was invited to the U.S. soccer training center in Massachusetts.
- Maintains a 4.0 GPA and ranks among the Top 10 in GPA in a senior class of over 500 students.
- Graduated from the selective Academy of Finance (finance) and Project Lead the Way (technology) programs at Lancaster Central.
- Born on April 3, 2003 in Erie, Pa.

Pittsburgh, Pa./Butler Area (Elizabethtown College)
Club: Northern Steel Bayern
- Appeared in 18 matches with 17 starts as a freshman at Division III Elizabethtown (Pa.) College in 2019.
- Recorded a team-high seven assist to go along with three goals (13 points) in 2019.
- His 48 shots and 22 shots on goal were second-most on the team.
- Scored his first career goal in his first college game vs. RPI. Had three assists in a 5-0 win over Lancaster Bible.
- Was the WPIAL Class 4A Player of the Year.
- Named NCSAA All-American as a senior.
- Named Butler County Athlete of the Year as well as all-region, all-state, all-WPIAL and all-section following his senior season.
- Four-time all-section, three-time All-WPIAL and two-time all-state.
- Led Butler to the second round of the state playoffs as a senior.
- His father, Troy, played soccer at Saint Francis U (1995-98), where he was named a First Team All-NEC as a midfielder in 1997.
- Born on August 27, 2000 in Butler, Pa.

Stavanger, Norway/St. Svithun VGS (Virginia)
Club: Viking FK
- First-year transfer from Virginia where he played in a pair of games - both starts - in 2021.
- Made his first appearance (45 minutes) in a 1-1 draw with UNCW on Oct. 5.
- Registered an assist in 90 minutes of a 2-0 win over Mary Washington on Oct. 25.
- Helped U20 Viking FK to the 2019 national league title.
- Was also part of Viking FK teams that reached the Norwegian Cup semifinals in both 2018 & 2019.
- Won a national championship with Hinna FK in 2015. Was also part of Hinna FK teams that won three-straight county championships from 2015-17.
- Transferred permanently to Viking in 2017 as a 16-year-old.
- Has played in the Norwegian third division and has also trained with the Viking First Team.
- Played ice hockey from ages 3-12.
- Born on April 13, 2002 in Stavanger, Norway.

Club: Pittsburgh Riverhounds Academy
- Played in 43 matches with 37 starts in three seasons at Western Illinois (2019, spring 2021 and 2021).
- Totaled 20 shots, including six on goal.
- Started 15 of 16 matches in 2021 and was second on the team with 1276 minutes played.
- Had 11 shots, including four on goal in 2021.
- Played in 13 matches with 10 starts in the spring of 2021.
- Assisted on the game-winning goal vs. No. 18 Oral Roberts (Mar. 18) and added his first career goal vs. Kansas City on Apr. 3, 2021.
- Started 14 of 16 matches as a freshman in earning a spot on the Summit League All-Newcomer Team.
- Logged 1114 minutes as a freshman.
- Ranked among the WPIAL's Top 5 scorers in 2017.
- Earned four varsity letters in soccer and two in football at South Allegheny.
- Born on April 12, 2001 in Pittsburgh.

- First-year transfer from UAB.
- Was one of two players to start all 15 games for the Blazers in 2021.
- Logged a team-high 1402 minutes.
- Finished the year with three shots, two of which were on goal.
- Born May 11, 2001 in Oslo, Norway.
