THE SERIES - vs. SAINT LOUIS
  • The Dukes and Billikens have met all but one year since Saint Louis joined the Atlantic 10 in 2005.
  • Although Duquesne holds the all-time advantage with 12 wins in the 19 meetings, Saint Louis has won three of the past four contests.
  • The two squads will be meeting for the first time since 2020, when the Billikens held on for a 53-50 win in St. Louis.
  • The 2020-21 season was the only time since the Saint Louis joined the A-10 that the two teams did not play. That game was postponed and later canceled due to COVID-19 protocols.
  • The last time the Dukes defeated the Billikens was a 72-51 victory in the A-10 Championship Quarterfinals in 2019.

LAST MEETING - Jan. 26, 2020
  • Down by as many as 12 points, the Dukes rallied to take a lead in the fourth quarter, but a three-point shot in the final seconds ultimately lifted Saint Louis to a 53-50 win at Chaiftez Arena.
  • Duquesne led the Billikens 50-48 with eight seconds left, as SLU's Rachel Kent connected on a trey with just over a second remaining to give the Billikens a 51-50 advantage.
  • Duquesne did not get a shot off on its possession, and the SLU converted two free throws with a fraction of a second remaining to seal the victory.
  • Amaya Hamilton led Duquesne with 14 points off the bench.
  • Laia Solé and Libby Bazelak both recorded 12 points.
  • Kent led the Billikens with a game-high 16 points, including the game-winning basket.

SCOUTING SAINT LOUIS
  • The Billikens will be playing for just the third time in the past month after having to postpone each of its first three A-10 scheduled games.
  • SLU ranks second in the A-10 in both blocked shots per game (4.4) and fouls per game (14.2).
  • In addition, they rank among the top-five in the league in rebounds (5th/38.6 rpg.) and turnovers (5th/14.8 per game).
  • Saint Louis is coming off of a thrilling 77-75 overtime win over St. Bonaventure on Wednesday night.
  • Ciaja Harbison knocked down a game-tying trey final seconds of regulation to tie the game and then won it with 0.9 on the clock with a layup to propel the Billikens.
  • Harbison, a three-time A-10 All-Conference selection, ranks second in the A-10 and 45th in Division I with 18.2 ppg.
  • She also leads the Billikens with a 42.7 field-goal percentage and ranks third in the A-10 with a 79.6 free-throw percentage.
  • Brooke Flowers, an A-10 All-Conference Third Team selection last season, is the A-10 leader in rebounds (11.2) and ranks 15th nationally in the category.
  • Flowers also ranks third in the country with 3.5 blocked shots per game.
  • Marisa Warren quarterbacks the offense with a team-best 3.6 assists per game to slot seventh in the A-10.

LAST TIME OUT
  • The Dukes were dealt a 67-57 loss by league-leading Rhode Island Wednesday evening inside the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
  • Duquesne was led by a team-high 11 points from Tess Myers. Myers was 4-of-9 from the field, including 3-of-6 from long range.
  • Duquesne shot 23-of-57 (40 percent) from the field and 7-of-22 (32 percent) from beyond-the-arc. Rhode Island converted 25-of-51 (49 percent) and 5-of-11 from downtown.
  • The Rams won the rebound battle (36 to 26) and made 12 of 15 at the free throw line.
  • The Dukes converted all four of their attempts at the charity stripe, but did not get to the line until the 2:09-mark of the fourth quarter.
  • The loss snapped a six-game winning streak that the Dukes held over the Rams. It was also the first time since 2007 that Rhode Island left Pittsburgh with a win over Duquesne.
