CLEVELAND – The Duquesne women's tennis team closed out fall competition this past weekend when they competed in the Viking Invitational hosted by Cleveland State.

The Dukes competed against Youngstown State, Milwaukee-Wisconsin and the host-Vikings.

The Dukes took two out of three in doubles play against UW-Milwaukee on Saturday. The tandem of
Meredith Lee and
Priyanka Mitta posted a 6-3 win over Greta Carbone and Iva Stejskalova.
Natasha Novak and
Daniela Latoni teamed up to earn a 6-3 win over Giorgia Cavestro and Babette Burgersdijk for the other doubles victory.

DU closed out play on Sunday against UW-Milwaukee and collected four wins in singles competition.
Ana Utrilla Benito won 6-2, 6-1 over Stejskalova, while Lee, Novak and Latoni also posted wins for the Dukes in their matches.

Duquesne will now direct its attention to the spring season and a return to a full Atlantic 10 slate.
