PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Following the holiday break, the Duquesne women's basketball team returns to conference play this weekend, as the Dukes (2-3, 1-0) trek to 2019-20 Atlantic 10 Champion Dayton (1-1, 0-0) on Sunday at noon.Â

THE SERIES
- The Flyers hold a 23-21 in the all-time series, taking a 54-41 win on Jan. 15, 2020 in the most recent matchup. In Dayton, the Flyers have earned 14 wins in 22 games. Â
LAST TIME OUT
- On Dec. 21, the Dukes comeback bid against Kent State came up just short, falling to the Golden Flashes, 73-66 at the MAC Center. Trailing by as many as 18 points during the first half, Duquesne cut the deficit to just two in the fourth quarter, but Kent State would finish the game strong to earn the victory. Laia Sole led the Dukes with a season and game-high 23 points on 9-of-18 shooting from the floor. Amanda Kalin added 15 points and four assists.

- Amanda Kalin (17.0) and Laia Sole (12.6) have paced the offense for the Dukes in five games this season.
- Kalin has made exactly half of her attempts from the field (31-of-62), as made 57 percent of her shots from inside the arc. Precious Johnsons has also been very efficient from the floor, making 17 of her 30 attempts this season (56.7%), which ranks fifth in the A-10.
- Freshman Megan McConnell leads Duquesne with 15 assists on the season. With just three turnovers during her first 110 minutes of collegiate action, she ranks 10th nationally in assist/turnover ratio and leads all first-year players at the Division I level.
- Classmate Tess Myers has excelled from 3-point land, sinking 6-of-14 attempts from 3-point land to start her career.
- Precious Johnson ranks 26th in the country in blocks per game (2.4) and 49th in overall blocks (12).
- As a team, Duquesne has excelled from the charity-stripe this season, ranking 59th in the country in free throw percentage (74.0%). The Dukes shot 69.4 percent from the free-throw line a season ago.
SCOUTING DAYTON
- Dayton has also been idle since Dec. 6, when the Flyers fell to the Akron Zips by a score of 77-74. Dayton earned a 71-57 win against Morehead State in its season opener on Nov. 25. The Flyers host St. Bonaventure on Jan. 1 at 5:00 p.m. prior to taking on the Dukes the following Sunday. Erin Whalen has led the Flyers on the scoreboard so far, with a 25-pt performance against Morehead State and a 26-pt effort against the Zips.
